We slept here 1 night in our car, parked at the side of the restaurant. Sleeping was for free and we had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Dinner was 20 dollars for two people with a good glass of chilean wine :) Wilbert was very welcoming and the place is very nice with a covered terrace where we could spent the rainy afternoon. They have wifi and bathrooms. Perfect for a stop in our way to Matapalo and Corcovado.

The Lynx Creek Project has taken over this site for temporary housing of the workers. They are building a dam (for hydro power), new bridges and elevated roads and it may take some more time. Once it's done, this place will be on the bottom of a new lake (as well as all other places between here and the dam near Charlie Lake / Fort St John). We spent the night elsewhere.

I tried staying there last night with my 2 kids. We arrived around 9 and were getting set-up for the night, windows and doors open to let the camper cool down. The security man was walking the lot making his rounds. Shortly after, 2 late-teenage punks were circling around and looking in through the doirs and windows, climbing on my back spare tire trying to climb on the roof and shaking our bikes on the rack. I got out, momma bear mode, and made sure to show them they were not gonna mess with us, i was scared for my kids that were inside and not being able to secure the camper. One ended up pulling out a knife and treathening (a few times) to stab me with a knife he has just pulled out. I think he was embarrased to be told off by a woman. A third boy ran over (one that obviously knew him) and started talking him out of it. It was a scary few minutes and we pulled out of there after notifying the security person, who walked the lot. Be aware.

Queta's hospitality was super. Quiet, safe place for the night.

Great location for both dump and water they’re all set up for either hoses into the tanks or in the gallon jugs or whatever places to dump cassette as well as hose black tanks as well as garbage one of the best I’ve been to in Canada

Great quiet place for a stopover. Rained all night so no kids invading our peace. True, the town is not much, compared to the others around, so a place to sleep is all you can ask of this place.

Fabulous! We stayed 2 nights. An absolute hidden gem as already mentioned and not to be missed. We had dinner one night which was delicious. We are in a truck and fitted in nicely in camp 1. Highly recommended.

Nice place for tents and RVs (medium size). Owners are friendly and live in the place. Clean baths, small swimming pool. The camping is surrounded by native forest. Worthy!

Very nice and friendly. They asked 45 usd for a good room, we bargained up to 25, including breakfast but a small one because of this bargain

Great beach and swimming on 40 celscius. There’s dump station but no drinking water at the dump station. Showers are OK but old.

Stayed one night, no problem. Pulled in around 9:30, parked towards the back of the lot. Didn’t leave until almost noon the next day.

Fabulous, free dispersed, dry camping. Sign says 14 day max.

One big 5th wheel and several tents. But not crowded given it’s a Saturday in the busy season. Very clean, but dusty.

Road in is a little bumpy but very doable without 4 wheel drive. Spots are surprisingly level.
Two bars reception with Verizon.

No water. No toilets. No garbage. Pack it all out with you so this spot stays open for use.

Cesar is very nice person. Very clean and very nice bathroom. A huge garden to camp. At 2 places you can connect to electricity, water and sewage.

Free campground for this year. sounds like city is passing it over to provincial parks. So only 1 bathroom. 1 dump station and garbage. some sites have fire pits beautiful lake.

The road to this location now has clear “No Trespassing” signs.

Water was on and we were able to fill up our 60 gallon tank. Faucet by the car wash

This place is permanently closed.

Great place to purchase fuel. Diesel at the Chevron was $7.58 today. It is $5.48 at Chimney Rock a couple of miles out of town.

When getting water the second time from here we was questioned by a cop saying we wasn’t allowed to get water from this location.
