Something not right?

Description

We had an overnight primitive campsite for $10 at the Switchgrass location but then found a picnic table with a cement roof and no one around us. We asked the front office if we could stay at the picnic table site (refer to GPS coordinates) and management said yes. The picnic site has a picnic table with seating. No water. No outdoor grill. The site faces the bay. There is a path to get down to the water and swim. We were lucky to have noone around us except a white truck, perhaps the person went fishing. I don’t think management allows you to camp here but allowed us and our promaster to spend the night. Super quiet after 9:30 when the boats dock for the evening. Who knew that Kansas of all places has this gem in their backyard!

Great beach and swimming on 40 celscius. There’s dump station but no drinking water at the dump station. Showers are OK but old.
