iOverlander is dedicated to providing the best possible service to overlanders worldwide, but not at the expense of your personal privacy. We require some personal data from you in order to effectively provide our services, but we always strive to do so with your consent and with transparency.

iOverlander LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates www.ioverlander.com and iOverlander and iOverlander 2 mobile applications (hereinafter referred to as “Service”). Our Privacy Policy governs and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.
We use your data to provide and improve Service. By using Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in our Terms of Service.

Or we may use this data to redesign our apps and websites to make a better experience for all users.

If you consent to sharing crash data with us, we may use that data to help us analyze the cause of the problem. We may use your data to provide notices about your account and/or subscription, including expiration and renewal notices, billing, email-instructions, etc.

User submissions. User submitted data (including but not limited to place reviews, reported problems, points of interest or check-ins), is shared publicly with all users of the Service. The Service also shares your username, blog name and blog URL. We do not share your email address, unless you make it available in a comment or place description. This publicly visible data may be searchable by search engines and be shared with or disclosed to third parties.
Business Transaction. If we, or our subsidiaries, are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.
Disclosure for Law Enforcement. We may share your data when we believe in good faith that such release is necessary to comply with law or a legal process, including laws outside your country of residence; to protect our rights, property, or safety, of our services and others.
Other cases: iOverlander may use third party service providers to provide or perform services on our behalf. In these cases, we may need to share your data with them. Our subsidiaries and affiliates, service providers, vendors and contractors, will only be allowed to process data in accordance with our prior written instructions.
You may access and update your data at any time through the “My Account” tab on the iOverlander website. To view every location that you have checked-in to you may view your check-in history on the apps, or visit your My Check-ins page on the website. You may also request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected].
You may also delete your account at any time by going to your profile and clicking Cancel My Account. If you delete your account, we will remove your email address and username. If you wish to also remove your check-in history, blog url or blog name, please contact us at [email protected].
We will not be able to restore your account once it has been deleted. Residual copies of your data may remain on backup media for a period of time afterwards. Additionally, we may store certain data that is not considered your personal data, i.e. does not directly identify you. We may also retain data as required by applicable law.
At this time iOverlander does not participate in any interest-based marketing or advertising to our users. If in the future we do provide any marketing email, we will always have an easy way to opt-out from these communications.
