Description

Paid ($5 for all weekend) parking lot for
small rigs (>20ft) by the main attractions of Winnipeg. The nearest Walmart is 6km away, ad as we wanted to have a quick look at what the city has to offer this was a good spot for us. Noisy, train station nearby, but it was ok. Nice burger joint (VJ) across the street and a number of other restaurants around. Good bathrooms at the Forks National Historical Site.

Had a quiet and safe night in our class B. Affordable pay parking with washrooms inside Via building. Close to famous forks.

Where we caught the train to Churchill to see polar bears.

We spent a Sunday night here and it was a perfect location (though the Human Rights Museum is closed on Monday). The train station washrooms are spotless. We’re in a fully-enclosed van so felt safe enough with it locked. It was very noisy (ok trains, traffic, pedestrians, the bar music across the street) until midnight and then amazingly quiet. Heading over to the Forks Market on foot for breakfast.

Not really a nice spot. We decided to go to the fort Gibraltar which is much better and free..

Parking lot by the train station. Bathrooms available inside when it’s open. We paid $10 for 24 hours on the weekend. Very, very noisy. Johnny Cs restaurant across the street is excellent!

I tried staying there last night with my 2 kids. We arrived around 9 and were getting set-up for the night, windows and doors open to let the camper cool down. The security man was walking the lot making his rounds. Shortly after, 2 late-teenage punks were circling around and looking in through the doirs and windows, climbing on my back spare tire trying to climb on the roof and shaking our bikes on the rack. I got out, momma bear mode, and made sure to show them they were not gonna mess with us, i was scared for my kids that were inside and not being able to secure the camper. One ended up pulling out a knife and treathening (a few times) to stab me with a knife he has just pulled out. I think he was embarrased to be told off by a woman. A third boy ran over (one that obviously knew him) and started talking him out of it. It was a scary few minutes and we pulled out of there after notifying the security person, who walked the lot. Be aware.

Good for one night. Perfect location, downtown and the Forks in walking distance. Paid $10 for 24h. Not for big rigs >20ft. No facilities. Can use washrooms in trainstation. Clean.
Some noice from trains and road in evening. During night it was surprisingly quite (it was a Saturday night)

VIA Rail Canada parking lot, we're here on a Sunday night and it cost $10.50 for 24hrs. Much better than a parking lot closer to the water that would have cost $20 for the 24hrs.

Report Check-In

Quiet and calm parking lot in Winnipeg. Weekends are 5$ only and 24 hours stay during the week is 15$. Recommend for one night.

Report Check-In

beau grand stationnement, le bruit d'un train à l'occasion .

Report Check-In

As described - good little spot. Parking much more expensive during the week - $15 a day ($10 till 6pm and then $5 overnight). Might be cheaper places around but location of this is really central and in theory they have CCTV in the car park!
