We stayed here with our van on their parking spot, no restrictions about car heights or width. We paid 10 $ in total, we could use electricity/shower(cold)/toilet and swimming pool. Really a nice spot to spend the night in macas. Only 20 minutes walk from the busy center. A lot of local people came talk to us with their lovely kids. Only little bad thing. It was saturday and there is a discotheque next to it. Was not very loud and around 12 the music stopped.

Small campground. Services if needed, bathrooms and showers. The tent sites are along the road and it can be quite noisy. Also very close to the train. There is a public pool next door which was a nice break from the heat but otherwise, wouldn't recommend unless you're staying in a vehicle that can block some of the noise..

We stayed 1 night on a Thursday, there was only 1 spot available and we took it. there was a lot of dust and bikes and buggy passing by every 5 minutes and it was really annoying to sleep. We came back on a Saturday around 3pm and it was absolutely full, about 3 cars per spot and lots of people, we left to look elsewhere.

We came at about 11:30, there are 5 or 6 other cars here and the bathrooms are open all night. had no problems, and some great trails to walk in the morning with a map in the parking lot.

There are new owners since a couple of month. Sadly it seems they are not interested in campers. We didn’t feel welcome at all. The women who told us she was the new owner barely looked up when we were talking to her. Very unfriendly. Parking only next to the house. No showers, no toilets, place is run down. Trash and dog poo on the ‚campsite‘. The ‚restaurant‘ seems to be the local bar: drunk people at night. We can not recommend this place. It’s better to do your stop-over in Mzuzu, on your way to Nyika Park.

As described. There is sun or shade depending on how you park. Also several spots on the main road in along the creek. Good Verizon LTE. The area is unlevel but could make it work. For the non scientist type, glass and cans don't burn so just take them back home with your. Why treat your forest like this? 🌲

Stayed for 2 nights. Clean beach which is great because it doesn ´t seem to be automatically that way elsewhere towards Batumi. You can even charge your devices near very simple, yet gorgeous camp bar. Number of dogs seems to have risen since the first mention about the camp though - they are friendly but might not be quite pleasant when you are preparing your food and you ´re surrounded by several of them.

Checked the spot but didn ´t stay afterwards. The views over the city skyline are great but absolutely no privacy as the sidewalk is right behind. Would stay only if we came too late and tired.

Stayed here for 6 days no problems. The rangers are super knowledgeable about the area and extremely friendly. There weren’t 15 spots, more like 7-8. The one at the bottom with the cliff fenced off has wooden crosses behind it, so we’re glad we didn’t choose that spot! The water is absolutely freezing (put just my head in to rinse my hair after a hike and it instantly sent chills through my body and my feet were hurting after only two minutes in it, and normally I love cold water) and although we saw ducks and deer, we never spotted fish or caught any. The road up is gravel but no issues at all towing our camper on it.

Over 3000 meters camp with beautiful views of whole Kaçkar range, mostly over the clouds. Access through steep zigzag-road. Requires 4wd and not for bigger trucks. Only for months of july-august-september. The other months the road will be closed because of snow. For experienced camper drivers.

Like the other comment said, we went to the Valero across the street. They were super nice and turned it on for free (I did buy some beverages), but only 15 Gal into my 30 Gal tank did I realize it is not potable water (see photo). The water pressure is extremely low as well; about a gallon per minute.

Another uneventful and reliable Wal-Mart stay. We didn't call ahead to see if it was okay to park, when we arrived around 6pm there were 3 RVs there and two other camper vans arrived later. We parked on the far left side in toward the garden center.

Flat, decently shady pull off about 80ft from FS 103. Nice views south. Easy, quality gravel road to get there - any car could do it. Fit our Promaster easily. Could fit 5-6 more vehicles. Nobody spoke to us, but FS 103 is super busy. We saw 40 or more other campers drive by, almost all in huge fifth wheel trailers. Then lots of ATVs and Quads roaming around. Obviously further up the road must be big fig friendly. It calmed down at night. More amusing than annoying, but be aware it's a bust corridor.

The road is bumpy but we had no problem making it in our Promaster van, which is FWD. There are many spaces so don't be afraid to drive this with FWD. I do agree something with higher clearance is probably necessary though.

Great spot, GPS coords were dead on. Tons of pull outs for all types of vehicles along the main forest road. If you have a smaller offroad vehicle, you can go up to the top of the rock and camp there. We got up it in a 4runner in 4lo, diff lock on. The top is more suitable for roof top tenters (very rocky) but we found two adequate ground tent sites. Other comments about bugs are legit - mosquitoes abound.

we had planned to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 6! A superb campsite on the banks of the Luangwa river, 5 min drive to the Park gates. Large camping pitch, fire pit, bbq and boma with light and electric point. lovely bar and restaurant and swimming pool. There is even a fully equipped gym if you want it! The team are all very helpful and fresh fruit and vegetables are brought in for sale from the local village. We saw Hippo, elephant, bush buck and lion sat on the bank of the river and could have stayed longer as it is truely a magical place. we self drove in the park for 2 days and saw many truely special animal and bird sightings. Game drives and walks are available from the lodge too. Ablutions are clean, spacious and have constant hot water available. Well worth 12 usd pppn.

I've changed the pin to it's real location and it's real name. Prices for camping as of July 2022: 2000 Kes ppn + conservancy fees (37 usd pp) + car fees. This is an extremely beautiful campsite and conservation area. Saw loads of wildlife in just one afternoon ( lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and loads of antelopes). The view from Cheetah Campsite is stunning, with sunset over Kilimanjaro and facilities are excellent! Hot showers, place for dishwashing, flush toilets, lounge area. Great internet signal with Safaricom.

Stayed here with no issues. There is a no overnight parking sign but we weren't bothered. The actual trailhead parking is up a small gravel driveway to the left when you get to the end of the street. There was also someone stopped on the street at the edge of the dead end. No signage on the road but unsure what the local bylaws are.

Beau spot juste sur le bord de la rivière. Très beau et pratique. Par contre, beaucoup de circulation dans les alentours. On a tout de même été tranquille et le bruit de la rivière camouffle le bruit de la route.
