We didn't stay for the night because some locals were there drinking and we were not in a drinking mood. We stayed around 400m further towards the north-western end of the bay. No too far away from the old factory buildings. We went back to this place the next morning for breakfast and a swim.

The campground was full when we arrived. It seems that the city removed any tent sites. All site now have electricity and cost $40.

Limited cell signal, no septic at sites, has a dump station, many of the spots are big rig friendly with pull through’s near the office otherwise the office side of the campground are Jammed pack tent sites. We did not venture to the other side of the park to see the spaces for ourselves. It does advertise cable tv that doesn’t work, the office lady said (it’s just there for show only some work)???
The beach and tent areas are horrible, mostly locals that completely block the beach making it difficult to access with each of them listening to all different music at blaring levels visible drug use even with kids running around, there is park security walking around just doing nothing. The bathroom on the office side of the park was filthy and only has one shower. Personal canoes and kayaks are not welcome at there boat launch, we were directed to a public beach to use for our kayaks even when camping there. Also they will not transport them. If I have anything positive to say, I had a nice site (118) and it’s convenient as a stop over place when traveling. We paid around 75 per night…

A few serviced (sewer/water/electricity) are available by the day with advance reservations. This is a very old park filled mostly with year round 5th wheelers, many with fences, decks and sheds. If you are looking for beautiful surrounds, this is not the place. If you need to dump, get water and recharge the batteries -- or entertain some young kids, then it is ok.

There is no day use, and the water slide they were famous for, is long decommissioned. It is transitioning to a Jellystone franchise with means that if you have some 8 year old kids, there are activities like limbo, foam parties, cotton candy, crafts, cart rides -- run by some teenage camp councilors. In that case, you want to park close to the rec center because this park is huge.

Nice Provincial park w/ flushable toilets and water.

If the park is full, you are allowed to park overnight in the parking lot (above the day use area) & they'll check for spots the next day. We saw a couple of campers parked in that lot all weekend 'cause the park was full.

Limited cell phone service.

Drove by it on way to the park. A car w/ a tent was there. Looks like a nice spot w/ a great view.

Good spot for a quick stop. Great view of the bridge and the city. I was surprise that it wasn’t that much noisy for the place.

A nice open, flat hard surfaced ground not too far off the road. There are a lot of elephants in the area and this offered a safe spot to overnight. Only two cars passed us in the night and some fellow adventurers the next morning.

WILD CAMPING ETIQUETTE
1. GOING TO THE TOILET - Find a place where people are unlikely to walk. Dig a hole, do your business, burn the toilet paper (without causing a fire), cover the hole again.
2. FIRES / BRAAI’s - If you have to make your fire on the ground: Dispose of the ash (without causing a fire) & cover with sand. Leave it looking as natural as you found it.
3. Do not leave any rubbish behind.

Wild camping should not disturb the environment, animals or the people that live nearby.

Ficamos duas noites aqui. Ótima localização, tem um mercado e um banheiro público perto. No final de semana faz barulho a noite toda, mas faz parte.

It was CROWDED with campers and overnighters. Much more quite then the campsites in Bozeman which are located right next to interstates and/or railroads.

There is a no overnight parking sign, but approx. 70 campers and trailers were here tonight!

We arrived at the Casino and parked in the parking lot. There was a sign behind the dumpsters for RVers (photo included). As instructed, we went into the gift shop and checked in. They have Electric and Water hookups for a fee $15-30. It's free to boondock which we did. There's a dump station at the BP in the same parking lot which we didn't use. not sure if there's a fee or not. A good spot to rest our heads for the night. LOTS of mosquitoes as there's standing water directly behind the RV hook up spots.

the coolest place for a night we had in a long time. Pure nature, quiet, starry sky and fireflies, good air. Picnic tables, no other amenities, no other people :-) Had a perfect night.

We are camping up the dirt path from the open grass space. There was already someone there. At the top of the hill you get a great view. It is very quiet up here. There is a spot where someone had a fire but there is no ring. Great spot and some cell service.

Propane refill during store hours. Refill station is to the left of the store looking at entrance. Just go inside and tell the cashier you need propane, then meet the employee with your tank on the side.

No tanks allowed inside store.

Cute spot. Nice river water sounds if you aren’t in your vehicle and you walk a few feet to the camping spot. Fire pit. Some trash, so please pack out anything you bring, including used toilet paper. Road is littered with huge potholes, but if you drive slow and methodically you can get through with a little 2WD car no problem.
