Quiet beach campsite on a holiday weekend with stunning views. The vehicle path to the beach is just before the pit toilet (which was horrible) if you are heading East. Ample room for 2 vehicle campers. No other services but so worth the inconvenience! Mosquitos not too bad in September.
Report Check-InWe camped in the clearing that is just beside (west of) the parking lot. You do have to drive down a bit of a hill, but it was very dry so no problem with Ford Transit. There is some deep sand in the middle of the field, but the field is big enough to easily avoid it. There were 2 other campers already here. We asked if ok for us to stay here as well.... there is enough room that we aren't right on top of each other. Nice to have the pit toilets so close by, just a short walk up the hill. Pulled out our lawn chairs and sat on the sandy beach until the mosquitos chased us inside.
Report Check-InWe came at about 11:30, there are 5 or 6 other cars here and the bathrooms are open all night. had no problems, and some great trails to walk in the morning with a map in the parking lot.
Report Check-InSpent a nice quiet night here after visiting Tahquamenon Falls. Nice beach but being the bug spray! We stayed in the parking lot but there was another pull-off less than a hundred yards to the west that would be perfect for a car/van/tent camping that is right on the beach. The entrance was muddy and bumpy so we didn’t chance it with our 2WD but in dried weather it would be doable. Worth checking out if you’d like more privacy from the road.
Report Check-InSuch a great place!! No signs about overnight parking so we stayed the night. Pit toilets & access to the beach with beautiful views. Saw no one else here except a few passing cars all night.
