We preferred this campground over Mani Camping next door, although a little more expensive. We paid €22 for two people and a tent. They have a pool, an area for wifi. We liked this one better because they had a communal kitchen. They also have bathrooms and laundry.

Nice lake. Not a big place, spent one night but decided to move on to where hunters wouldn’t be skinning their prize.

I stayed a bit down the road from this location. My intention was to stay at the Parks Campground, but the road looked a bit more than what I was up for, so I ended up finding a spot along the way. After you turn right off of the highway, there is this spot straight ahead before the no camping sign. An RV was already at this spot. I turned left before the sign and a short distance down the road I found the perfect spot, complete with stone fire ring. It is close to the highway so you do hear some noise, also had a decent number of vehicles passing down the dirt road to reach the campground. This spot still seemed very private & was easily accessible. I stayed Thursday - Monday with no issues. Great views of the mountains as well.

A nice boat launch park with long spaces designated for vehicles with trailers. There are posted signs about only using area if actively boating.

We parked overnight in a 37’ class A without trailer (no knock). I’d guess anytime after dark/before sunrise would not affect those trying to boat.

There is another boondocking site down the street on iOverlander if needed.

Worth noting will driving over from HWY 240 E Google took me onto Craven Connector Street and the turn was very hard, many point turn while blocking traffic, avoid if over 20’.

Lovely place with lovely owners. The camping is for free (but as a courtesy it is good to get some food/drink from the restaurant - it is delicious and prices are reasonable). Clean toilets. Cold open beach showers. WiFi. you can also charge your phone. We stayed a few days there.

We stayed here for 1 night. We arrived very late and woke up very early. It’s not a busy road, but we still didn’t expect so many cars at night. It’s an okay place to stay if you’re too tired to search for other options, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Down fire road 812 (findable using all trails), there is a side dirt road which is currently gated off.
I parked in front of the gate, parallel to the fire road.
Very quiet, no noticeable noise from the Blue Ridge Parkway. There were a few other vehicles which had a similar idea, so there were a few headlights until about 10pm.
Gravel road to get down, I’m in a van and that worked well, but it’s groomed enough that a car can probably make it as well.

We were here as 'normal' campers between only overlanders. Small camping spots but with good facilities. Places are very close to each other so you here everything. Camping is close to the road in town and I think something like a bar in town cause there was voices and music during the night. Pool area looks nice. Wifi fast. Restaurant good atmosphere, everyone is eating there so I guess it can't be so bad, cappuccino was good.
Not our campsite cause we like the feeling of being alone with a nice view. If you want to meet some overlanders this is your place to be.

Amazing place to spend the night (or two!). We loved it here. Lots of green and shaded areas. Finding flat ground is a bit of a challenge as the land slopes downward ever so slightly. But if you look hard enough, you can find a flat spot.

Bathrooms are clean. Cold shower. And the palapas have electricity.

Perfect for pets.

Cedar Lake Trailhead/Boat Launch parking lot where dispersed camping is allowed. It is a large parking lot with pit toilets and a dumpster. I stayed here 1 night and saw 1 other vehicle pull up. People began showing up with boats at 7am, but the parking lot is big enough that it isn't a huge bother. The road is in good condition and able to fit (boat) trailers with plenty of space to turn around in the lot. Locals mention this site being very busy in summer. Tents would work here but regulations mention staying 150ft from the water.

Nice sized rest stop along I80 Westbound in Wadsworth just East (28 minutes/ 29 miles) of Reno. Parked in the last spot at the end (near pet area). Rest stop is right along I80 so there is noise (if that bothers you). Very strong Verizon signal. Did not use restroom. From Nevada DOT site the facility offers: wireless internet, picnic tables, litter barrels, running water, telephones, flush toilets, RV Dump Station 5 truck parking spots and A.D.A. Access. State of NV (from my research) does not prohibit sleeping in vehicles as that is why they have rest stops (sleep if needed). They do however have time constraints and it reads from boondockersbible.com “You can stay at a rest area for a maximum of eighteen (18) hours in any two (2) week period. What this means is that you either spend all 18 hours in just one rest area, or spread it out over several rest areas.” It was a pleasant evening with the highway traffic reducing as it got later.

I spent last night here in my 26’ Class C. I checked in with security at the front desk of the casino. They asked me to provide them with my driver’s license number and the plate number on my rig. They asked that I not park in the gravel but rather on the far side of the pavement, against the gravel lot previously mentioned.Security told me the casino doesn’t own the gravel parking area. No problems all night. Some road noise from Hwy 101 but not too bad. One other car camper spent the night here. 2 bars Verizon LTE and good WIFI on “YurokGuest.”

Great spot and has ample space for multiple campsites. Some people camp here regularly in season and have kept the place maintained. Someone has also abandoned their trailer here.

Disappointed by the food, service and price. Vegan tacos were grated vegetables in a leaf of lettuce, burger had 5 chips with it. Not recommending to come here.

previous 2 comments are a bit confusing. there is a car park for Fort George where you pay and yes, there is a sign for no overnight parking.

on the next right is a bus park. there is a tourist info place here too, but really it is the bus/coach park for NOTL. there are no signs that say you cannot park overnight here. we stayed in mid Nov in our TT with no issues, tourist info and Fort closed for season. we used the bus/rv parking at the Fort during day then moved into the bus park after dark, then moved back into the paid parking section early the next day and again walked and enjoyed the area from there.

I would, however, be hesitant to stay here during busier times of the year, if that was the case I would find a park employee and ask if ok.

Warning: the road to get here is dirt and can get very muddy. They no longer offer camping but only cabanas. We arrived asking for a place to camp since we found out about this spot on iOverlander and were introduced to a few people before Eeba! She is so kind and gave us a spot to camp under her palm hut for 300 pesos.

It’s a really beautiful place but a little confusing to figure out with little Spanish. You might be best in the surfing area just north in Saladita. We were planning to go there but the road was under construction.

We pulled in to these services because there was a camping symbol. Ställplas Bengt I Orkelljunga kindly let us put up our tent. We didn't use power and there are no facilities so they let us stay for free. It's great if you get caught in the dark like us without anywhere organised to stay. Lots of food options around to walk to.

We had the place all to ourselves. Easy to find. The oilfield flares were a bit surreal but otherwise very peaceful and quiet.

Nice spot after driving trough Chobe. Refreshing dip in the swimmingpool, great view from the campsites and the deck. Even a little shop at the reception with snacks, wood, canned food and cold drinks.

Fenced, so a relaxed evening staying up after dark :)
