Something not right?

Description

Campground directly at the beach. The entrance is on the main road. Simple but clean restrooms and showers. Free WiFi in the reception area but the beach front area is out of range. We paid 250 pesos for 2 people, no charges for the dog.
When we where there, they were the only ones who cleaned their section of the beach from dead shellfish that was all over the beach. Friendly staff.

Nice spot right on the beach. Bring a shovel so you can dig a hotspring at low tide. We were the only ones with a British couple, so nice and quiet. Showers are cold. Other thing; we paid 300 pesos the first night and 400 the second. Vladimir (security guy) did not want to negotiate 2 night, but all good.

epic spot! hard offroad for a big 4x4 rig like ours, but the built wrangler in our group had no problem.

Noland will loan you a shovel to dig a hot tub on the beach. He will also talk your ear off so be prepared for that.

edit:. In retrospect, Nolan gave lots of sound advice which we seem to reference almost daily.

We paid 400 peso for one night in our RV about 100 meters from the beach. The lady is friendly but first she demanded 500 pesos so be aware of the prices.
Didn’t use the shower but toilets were clean enough.
Apparently there are some hot springs in the sand on the beach but we had loads of seaweed on the beach and didn’t go in.

Also wanted to add that Lupitas is about 5km away and has awesome fish tacos for about 27 pesos each! They were delicious!

We stayed for one night. We paid $350 pesos for the night, spots closer to the beach were $450 pesos. They had a flushing toilet and showers available, though we did not use the showers. There were many toilets on site, but all were closed except one, which we found odd. There were approximately 4 other campers there while we were there. The owner was very lovely, and spoke good English, though she appreciated our efforts to speak Spanish.

The geothermal activity on the beach was phenomenal and was a highlight! We brought our shovel and dig out a little hot tub. This area is a hidden gem. Look up high and low tide times and if you can time it, arrive 1-2 hours before low tide and find an area with warm sand. This area is right outside Campo Meneses and La Joya beach camp. Start digging at the edge of the warm sand, if you dig in the middle of the warm sand it will be way too hot! As the tide goes out, you will see a large area of sand that is constantly steaming from the heat.
