safe and super quiet stay. lots of others around but not too close.

Nice place for a night or nights. No way that we could see to pay the fee. Looked like a host RV at the entrance but no one around. I think the campground is partially closed. Pit toilet open and stocked.

Note that the Vista Point to the north is signed No Camping.

Dump station with non potable water. Water was shutoff due to freezing temperatures but the dump is available. Free.

Great place to stop for a quick lunch. East location and parking for big rigs on the side street. We had quesotacos for 30 pesos each

Olhos D'água site belong to Mr. Fernando. Good location for roots tent. Under construction the spot for big cara but very promising for it.

Heads up, went by the designated camp ground 11/12/2021 and it is “closed for the season”. Road to camp sites is gated closed

it’s the shell gas station. water pump for the winter work perfectly! it’s probably the fastest water fill up we’ve had!

Great place to stay with lots of space and level ground, only about 7 RVs in the whole lot for us. Huge beach just down a boardwalk and down a trail.. the dogs loved running on the beach. We registered and paid the $10 fee for a couple nights and ended up staying a couple more without re-registering or paying. Doesn’t seem like they really care with it being off-season, but make sure you initially register to get the pass to hang from your window.

Definitely recommend!

Wupatki spirit totems on side of i89. Cool little spot for a picture. There is a small pull off with no sign. You can walk up and take photo of totem.

Stayed 3 nights here. Beautiful. Bad news prices have increase 100 peso per person per night. No charge for dogs. Great place to walk and we saw no one on the trails :)

Nice área for camping with tends and motorhomes. water, eletricity, wi-fi are provide. near from a small waterfall. 20 reais by day. Márcia, the ower is very frendly.

MOSQUITOES!!! This place could be good but unfortunately the mosquitoes just ruin everything… one year in Central America but this… haven’t had it this bad since Alaska!!!
We arrived a few hours ago and will be out of here in the morning, back to the mountains!

There was a big (new-looking) sign saying “Permit parking only. Chimney Rock employees only. All others towed.” We decided to move on.

Motorcycle rider. Perfect road, almost everything is concrete now only little dirt stretches. Was a bit disappointed hoped for more off-road. Even with the rain on top, almost now mud.

$9 and a great place to get fresh water and drop off your trash. We got in trouble for skipping the office, but the security guy was really nice and informed us that a day pass was $9. No biggies for such a pretty spot. (since this is also a campground, there may be showers!)

This gravel road turn off towards the main highway running E-W just south of Nica border is closed, as well as the following one a couple hundred m further as they run through a finca. Take the main road turn off from La Garita to continue to main Rd

Small little spot with 3-4 tables. Delicious empanadas and hojaldres for breakfast or the afternoon craving. Saw kids and other folks having their morning tinto and empanadas and told us this was “the spot”

We are vegan and kindly asked the lady running the place if she could prepare some empanadas “sin carne” no meat. The lady was a bit surprised but said yes and told us to come by 2-3hrs later. The empanadas were super yummy.

Showers were free, laundry is 1.50 wash 1.50 dry (same building). It is on National Recreation land, so a fee (or pass) is required to get in.

Well it is not really a beautiful place. But for 40 PpP ok. Walking distance to museum and ticket office. Wi-Fi is good

We stayed three nights. The Hotel manager welcomed us very friendly and the security guys helped us with all what we needed. We Picasso restaurant was very good, especially the Lasagne we liked. The internet is very fast and we had good reception even in our camper.

I was unable to access the Cassetta de Vigalance using my GPS navigation, but a very kind jogger helped me gain access to the correct parking lot off of Avenido Division de Norte. There are a dozen parking lots...easy to get confused!
Great spot to get out and stretch your legs and burn some calories. And the Elote cart was a good way to get some more calories back in. :-)

Fairly large flat area, multiple spots. There is a loops with sites and a lane to a large site. North east view of a mountain with a meadow in front and nice trees all around.

Stayed here last night. Nice quiet place to stay for the night. No one came around. 1-2 bars Verizon LTE
