Big open gravel lot next to cute lil’ town of Chimney Rock, NC. Gorgeous views of Hickory Nut Falls & Chimney Rock. Checked with local cop and he said we’d be fine there. Not super flat lot. Next to main town road but still pretty quiet even on a Saturday night. Quick walk to the Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery (riverside on the Broad) & Burntshirt Winery.

There was a big (new-looking) sign saying “Permit parking only. Chimney Rock employees only. All others towed.” We decided to move on.
