Pulled up in the dark, there was a sign along the dune that said Coots customer only, so I parked along the tree line closer to the street - there were no signs here.

Really quiet overnight. Could hear the wave crashing! So peaceful. No one bothered us all night. Good cell signal. Edisto beach is right on the other side of the dunes and is off leash dog friendly during the winter months!

several fairly freshly cut-up deer carcasses made this place pretty gross. decent sized spot which could have been level enough to stay, but i moved on

We are a cargo van, parked near here on Calle Sinaloa at 24.149639,-110.331279 after dark for the Friday night, as Marea had an event with lots of vehicles parked on the street including past the gated pull-out. Slept fine, some passing vehicles and pedestrians as usual, nobody knocked. Unfortunately woke in the morning to find windshield had been hit forcefully once on the driver's side. Set of shoe prints, dress-shoe type, leading to the spot in the dirt. No other damage, nothing taken that we have been able to identify including small electronic item accidentally left in the cab. Feels random but deliberate.

There were a few other campers out on the main road. We saw a few campers come down the road after us. Nice spot.

Stayed one night and was surprised by how many people are here in the winter. Free camping, dump, and pit toilet available, but no trash. Between 0-1 bars of service on ATT. Hot springs nearby are not that hot, but fun to check out. Expect lots of families.

Guy at the gate asked for $200MXN to camp, extra $100MXN with a palapa. We declined a palapa.
Water is beautiful, mostly sandy beach, restrooms are there (not the best, but are available).

Spigot on east side of building works without spraying everywhere. Several trains across highway but road noise drowns them out. 3 bars Verizon.

Nothing better than camping right at the trailhead of one of the most popular hikes at the Monument. Cozy spots but tucked in against the road. Fire pits, grill and table at each site. At least 4 sites tent only. No Verizon. Toilets. Water.

Place is open, prices as listed below. The palapas are nice, but if you ride a bit further to the back you can camp next to the beach and sea.

No stores or whatsoever around, so come prepared. The guard at the gate told us the restaurant is open but we didn't go there.

Armada drive has ocean view parking with no parking restriction signs. Extended parking spots, might be tricky for class A unless you could take 2 spaces. Stayed in November and there were a ton of spaces available. Brewery and museum down the street, less than 5 minutes to I-5. Felt completely comfortable sleeping here, not a lot of traffic until 7am (work traffic). Saw quite a few other vans, trucks, campers etc. Overnight parking can be tricky in this area, so this was a great find!

Gravel and patchy grass plateau was fine for an overnight stay! We couldn’t get down the hill to the cyclist spot with our fully loaded motorcycle (now a difficult access steep narrow grassy track between drop off to gravel pit and field). We found some grass on the upper area, it’s mostly gravel and still part visible to the road, but a hailstorm soon fixed that for us! Quiet night lovely views in the morning.

We were able to stay here but checked in with customer service first before we did. They told us to park by the Walgreens towards the back of the parking lot which is close to the road. It was noisy which was to be expected but had no problems. We were there at 6:00 p.m. and left by 10:00 a.m. the next day.

Full bars Verizon and a great sunset. It is still close to the road so could hear some cars as they pass. Otherwise a fine and chill spot for the night. We were not bothered. Dirt spot with some potholes but I think any car would be fine.

About 4km below Valle Nevado Ski area, there is a dirt road off to the right out to an overlook. While on this road, you are visible from the road but about halfway back, you can tuck in behind a berm. There are a couple fire rings already set up if you bring you own wood. With Entel, there is normally 4G with 2-3 bars at least. This is at about 8,600’ so expect that the temperature will be quite a bit cooler than in Santiago… perfect escape during the summer heat. Unknown how accessible this is during the winter/with snow/ice on the ground. If your willing to hike a bit, their are a couple of small waterfalls running right now up at the main road.

Called ahead, and got the green light for overnights. The only request the store had is that you park on the Lawn & Garden side.

Semi trucks in and out, very few overnighted. Had one other van lifer too.
Peaceful when the store closes.

Behind the Town of Woodstock Welcome Center. Eight regular, pull-in spaces are marked for overnight. Also 2 parallel spaces along the brook (more unlevel). Spent a nice quiet Friday night.

It's only the end of a road near the beach and close to some house.

The access track is a bit rough but doable, just go slow. If you drive 200m more towards the radio tower, you can discover a hidden balcony accessible via a flight of stairs. It offers seating, a water tap (not working), fabulous views and good wind protection depending on its direction. We camped on the flat area above where there was even a rubbish container.

this is now a first come first serve car camping spot for people that are hunting or using ATVs. there's an ATV trail in the middle of camp and a sign that says you can't ride your ATVs through camp itself. generator hours stop at 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. no one bothered me while I was there but people do set up elaborate camp spots with music and generators. however most all of the camping spots are perfectly level and they have picnic tables as well as fire pits. bring your trash bag if you intend to leave it better than you found it as most people don't. well traveled gravel road to get there but not very well maintained. in bad weather you need four-wheel drive and they may close it in winter snow. stay there during a holiday weekend and I definitely would go back when it is not a holiday weekend.

This spot is (now?) directly across the road from a fancy hotel. They seem to be using it as an extended dirt parking lot. Not sure if they appreciate anyone camping here.
