Nice quiet place to stay the night. Can hear the ocean with all the windows closed. Parked beside the palm trees where there is no signage.
The outdoor music from the gas station across the street is surprisingly loud, but they must turn it down for night since we didn’t hear anything and slept very well.
General store, pizza place and Coots bar in the building beside parking lot.

We, too, stayed in the parking lot to the left, not Coots’ lot, no problems, no police, dark and quiet after the bar closes. The town of Edisto Beach is quiet and not touristy. There is a liquor store, a Food Lion, a gas station/ convenience store and a restaurant/ bar or two. It is Dec. and most vacation homes and rentals are vacant and empty. I am sure one can park on any street without a no parking sign. Overnight Beach access lots are prohibited so do not do it! Have a drink at Coots- very nice view! Just the locals, no rowdy tourists!

Pulled up in the dark, there was a sign along the dune that said Coots customer only, so I parked along the tree line closer to the street - there were no signs here.

Really quiet overnight. Could hear the wave crashing! So peaceful. No one bothered us all night. Good cell signal. Edisto beach is right on the other side of the dunes and is off leash dog friendly during the winter months!

Report Check-In

Very quiet parking lot steps from the beach. Signage along dune says “customers of coot’s ONLY”. Stuck to the back of the lot and no one said anything.

There are now "customer parking only, all others will be towed" signs throughout the lot.

Parked here last night. Very nice place to sleep. Wouldn’t stay more than a night. Police do patrol. If you’re looking for a hot inexpensive breakfast, Food Lion has a great hot breakfast.

Report Check-In

This is a nice place to stay for the night. Very quiet but a local cop does patrol the area and passes by every 20-30 minutes. No knocks or hassles.
