About 4km below Valle Nevado Ski area, there is a dirt road off to the right out to an overlook. While on this road, you are visible from the road but about halfway back, you can tuck in behind a berm. There are a couple fire rings already set up if you bring your own wood. With Entel, there is normally 4G with 2-3 bars at least. This is at about 8,600’ so expect that the temperature will be quite a bit cooler than in Santiago… perfect escape during the summer heat. Unknown how accessible this is during the winter/with snow/ice on the ground. If you're willing to hike a bit, there are a couple of small waterfalls running right now up at the main road.
