Small little spot with 3-4 tables. Delicious empanadas and hojaldres for breakfast or the afternoon craving. Saw kids and other folks having their morning tinto and empanadas and told us this was “the spot”

We are vegan and kindly asked the lady running the place if she could prepare some empanadas “sin carne” no meat. The lady was a bit surprised but said yes and told us to come by 2-3hrs later. The empanadas were super yummy.

We stayed three nights. The Hotel manager welcomed us very friendly and the security guys helped us with all what we needed. We Picasso restaurant was very good, especially the Lasagne we liked. The internet is very fast and we had good reception even in our camper.

I was unable to access the Cassetta de Vigalance using my GPS navigation, but a very kind jogger helped me gain access to the correct parking lot off of Avenido Division de Norte. There are a dozen parking lots...easy to get confused!
Great spot to get out and stretch your legs and burn some calories. And the Elote cart was a good way to get some more calories back in. :-)

Fairly large flat area, multiple spots. There is a loops with sites and a lane to a large site. North east view of a mountain with a meadow in front and nice trees all around.

Gate is open so all spots on this road are available. Curvy and steep paved road and then huge ruts once it turns to dirt road, but doable for Transit High Roof. Incredibly windy!

Beautiful views here. We didn't park on the flat gravel surface, rather than a few meters away (there's one trail going down to the beach, another one leads around the hill, this one we drove)
The surface is grassy and with small bushes, tent friendly but not really for bigger rigs.

Nice lodge on a great setting. Great views to Bwindi forest on its side. We camped the first night, negotiated $15/pppn, normal price nowdays is $20/pppn. Pricey, for what you get. Shower and toilet in restaurant’s facilities. Or they can open one room for
you as your ablution. For the other night we took a room: ”luxury” room was nice with good view. Way too expensive (~$300/night!) from front desk, but you may get it for third the price via booking.com (with full board). So check booking.com! Lunch nice, dinner ok. Friendly staff. Rushaga gate is less than km away, if you want to go tracking from there.

You need originals and copies of:
Precheqeo (just the pdf emailed to you is fine)
Passports
Covid vax cards (or test results, presumably, we had cards)
Driver's license
Vehicle registration
Vehicle title

We had to pay a bribe to get in without our original title; we only had copies. It started at $150 and ended up being $50 after some verbal sparring

Loving this spot. Our rig is right next to the beach. There is lots of shade from the palm trees. Owner is super friendly. The surf school is just 3 feet away. The facilities are very basic but fine. Would recommend this place when visiting Samara

Two large parking lots with benches overlooking water. No “no overnight parking” signs. Stayed one night, traffic was not bothersome, quiet night. Beautiful area to catch the sunset and space for dog to run.

This is one of the most beautiful spots we have stayed in. Stayed for 3 nights. Hiked to the dinosaur tracksites, which is a must see. The weather was perfect, no wind the whole time we were there. 50’s and 60’s during the day and mid 30’s at night.

Nice and flat parking right in front of the beach. Less crowded than the other parking places. They have showers and bathrooms, the place is clean and the stuff is really nice. Not a person during the night, really quiet. You can fit any big rig. 8.000 crc per night.

Stayed on the far side of the Sam’s Club lot (shares the lot with Walmart). A few other campers for the night in travel trailers and RVs with us. Wifi closer to the Walmart or at Starbucks across the street. Some road noise but not as much on the Sam’s Club side. Arrived at 2pm and left at 8:30am. Traveling in overlanding SUV towing utility trailer.

A road runs through the campsite that is frequently used throughout the day but quiets down around 9pm. Locals are definitely curious about you and will likely stop to chat. Folks seemed genuinely concerned that I would be cold in a tent. I would not recommend if you’re looking for solitude. Bathrooms and facilities were clean.
