A lil busy n noisey til late, but no knock, no issues, no security, no problemo. A couple other vanlifers all parked away from entrance but close to main (busy) road. Much better and friendlier than the Walmart on North Ave.

Report Check-In

I just called the store. They said the City of Grand Junction has prohibited overnight parking so it's no longer allowed at this Walmart.

Report Check-In

I called and they said there’s a city ordinance about overnight camping but I stopped to grab a couple things and there were a handful of rvs and vans here pretty blatantly. Some appeared to have not moved in a while. I doubt anybody would give you trouble as long as you don’t park right next to the store

Report Check-In

just got here to do some shopping in my rv. manager came out immediately to tell me there is no overnight parking and I am not welcome to stay after completing my shopping

Report Check-In

The usual Walmart experience: plenty of others camping, some appear to be longer term than an overnight. Not noisy and no troubles.

Report Check-In

Slept here last night. No problems. Several other cars & rigs here. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. Felt like the majority of the parking lot was filled with campers.

Report Check-In

When we stopped here to grab a few supplies, security rolled by and asked us if we were planning to stay the night. We told her no, but she said we were more than welcome to if we wanted to as long as we were tourists. She said she encourages folks to stay towards the back of the parking lot.

Report Check-In

There are No RV Overnight signs. But we did stay in our Sprinter van. There were 11 vans total that stayed but zero pull behind RV’s. So maybe vans are ok. Anyway, thought I would post. All good.

giant walmart parking lot. signs say no overnight camping but they’re placed few and far between, wouldn’t have seen them if i wasn’t looking for them. despite the other check-ins people have left for this walmart saying they wouldn’t recommend it, it caught my eye as i drove by because there were literally five camper/vans/camper trucks in the back. i figured they’d get busted first if this was illegal since i was just in my subaru, wished us all good luck and pulled in the way back around 10:00 PM, put my window covers up and passed out. stayed just like that till about 8:30 AM, didn’t get bothered once and the campers were still there the next morning too. clean bathrooms, big walmart. there’s also an automotive section if you need anything and several other parking lots and strip malls around. use your discretion though and follow your gut.

Report Check-In

sign says no overnight parking, stopped by to get groceries.

Report Check-In

Lots of campers, feels like a safe spot to spend the night if needed. Overnight employees blasting music (super dang loud) all night, and on weekends there is some car meet type deal where people with obnoxious loud cars drive around and around the area revving their engines, living their wildest nascar fantasies. So it’s very loud, make sure you have ear plugs if you want a chance to sleep.

Report Check-In

The free overnight parking is over. I found this notice on my windshield this morning. (See picture.)

Report Check-In

No signs, no issues, quiet. Plenty of stuff nearby.

Report Check-In

Signs say no RV parking. Lots of RVs here.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. Several other vans all parked in the back of the lot. Felt safe here. Didn’t hear any noise overnight with my vent fan on. Would recommend this Walmart over the other one in town- checked out both and felt a lot better staying at this one. Didn’t actually go inside since I’d already grabbed some groceries at the other location. Great cell service on T-Mobile and AT&T. Near lots of shopping centers with pretty much any store you could want.

Report Check-In

I have stayed in many Walmart parking lots during my travels. This area in particular seems to be packed with loud rice burner cars and loud trucks with drivers that like to peel out to listen to their exhaust, only to stop at the next stop sign 20 ft ahead of them, and repeat at each stop, until you hear them rip down the main road back to the freeway.

Report Check-In

pretty standard Walmart right here. a bit noisy, a good amount of other travelers in vans and rvs, no charge and no hassle to stay here for a night.

Report Check-In

Regular 24h Walmart parking lot. Noisy, but good for the night.

Report Check-In

Nice 24hr Walmart. Busy area. I stayed 6:30pm to 8:30am after some serious traveling with no problems. I parked near the pick up area by a tree. The furniture store across the street offers good shade for sleeping in a lil.

Report Check-In

still okay to stay here, just park at the back near the road
