Description

Cedar Lake Trailhead/Boat Launch parking lot where dispersed camping is allowed. It is a large parking lot with pit toilets and a dumpster. I stayed here 1 night and saw 1 other vehicle pull up. People began showing up with boats at 7am, but the parking lot is big enough that it isn't a huge bother. The road is in good condition and able to fit (boat) trailers with plenty of space to turn around in the lot. Locals mention this site being very busy in summer. Tents would work here but regulations mention staying 150ft from the water.

Large gravel lot next to a boat ramp. 2 nights here and no issues. Very quiet and dark. Good starlink connection. Boaters come fairly early in the morning. There is a pit toilet and garbage bins.

Report Check-In

No camping, except in tents!! Spoke with three Forest Service rangers. They also stated LEOs check in regularly. Almost a full parking lot anyways.

This is a great place to boondock. WiFi was weak but enough to surf a little but very slow. Fishermen started showing up around 5:am. They came and went all day. Most were gone by 10:pm. It was a big deal. They weren’t the friendliest folks. I had to speak first or they would not engage in conversation.
