bencouture18 | Very large flat gravel lot between the quality inn and the chevron. We stopped here on our way out of Death Valley NP. There were about a dozen trucks parked here overnight and also a very good taco truck! It was quite with road noise and no one bothered us |

kathleenmoss | Amazing, uncrowded bottom-of-canyon hikes on par with Zion. The plant life here is gorgeous in tones of sage and turquoise. Lots of flowers too! Dogs only allowed on a few trails at the moment but the ranger said they are opening them all to dogs soon! Didn’t spend the night because there was no vacancy. $15 just to enter the park so camp here if you can get in! |

taylor.nolanjunk | Does not allow overnight parking. Talked to Manager and they asked that if you need to spend the night you should move on to next Maverick up the road which is an actual truck stop. |

kathleenmoss | Cost is now $20 and the place doesn’t seem to be staffed at all so pay at Rec.gov or as you arrive. The campground is not very close to the reservoir so no hope of launching your kayak from your site like at Quail Creek. We spent the day at Snow Canyon (which was full) so this was a good match for our needs. Lots of sparse juniper trees dotted here and there give a tiny bit of privacy, but this is the desert after all. Site 11 looked the most private to me. Red sand sites with good sized parking and a picnic table is what you’ll get. View of hills is nice. Still vault toilets and generators are allowed until 9pm. |

blessedveteran | Northbound. 730pm. "enrique" asked a lot of questions about me and my dog. Some awkward silence...I didn't want to chit chat, I have a long drive. I think he was checking to see if I was nervous. I started to be ...for no reason lil...he then let me go, without searching. but he had just throughly searched the truck in front of me. I have noticed they just wave locals through. |

wiebrens | Dorm style hammocks with mosquito nets for 200$, camping out back in the cozy garden. 2 outdoor showers, 1 shared indoor. There’s composting and recycling and they press their own paper! No space for vans/rigs. I parked in front with my 4runner and was tight |

iguana.panamericana | This is the only access to the El Pinecate craters at the moment. There has been a land dispute at the entry on Mex 8 and that dirt road is now blocked with boulders. Others have stated that you have to get a permit at the Schuk Toak visitor center on Mex 8. We were there but they didn't ask us to pay, they just gave us directions which I uploaded as screenshots. They did say we had to pay at the entrance on Mex 2 (this one), but there was nobody to collect the fee. The craters are stunning and worth a visit! The road in is a dirt road, mostly washboard with some soft patches and loose rock. We drove in with our 2wd VW Crafter (Sprinter van), but there were locals with their city cars too. I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than a Sprinter van, it's a little narrow sometimes with prickly plants. 4x4 not necessary, a bit higher clearance than a regular city car is a plus. |

thebigballoftwinetour.com | We stopped here overnight waiting to see the Lincoln Memorial in the morning. The restaurant closed at 3:00 pm weekdays (see photo for full hours) so we parked in the parking lot and we’re gone in the morning before they opened. There is a full RV dump station on site likely not public but it will do in a pinch. |

donpears.it | Simple hospedaje with different types of rooms. I choose for a single bedroom, without TV. Bed not very confortable and not very clean. Safe park for the bike in the courtyard. 10 S/ for the room + 5 S/ extra to get the WiFi password and the shower. Very noisy customers untill 23h and from 5h... probably I was unlucky. |

mrhvdm2010 | Large flat area along a dirt road leading to the Poopo Viejo cemetery. Far enough from the road to be very quiet and not to be seen easily. Out of sight from the village. In the evening the traffic on the main road became very quiet. We didn’t hear anything during the night, but enjoyed the beautiful sky with so many stars. On the dirt road we were parked, no cars at all from the time we arrived (around 5.30 PM), the first vehicle passed at 8.30 AM. Park away from the road, to avoid dust when a vehicle passes. Good coverage of Entel. |
