Loved this campground! No fee. Clean bathroom, flush toilets, and a .5mile loop trail up the mountain. Almost stayed 2 nights. Lots of ppl there when I arrived. RVs tents cars

Nice shady spots, right on the road. The road quiets down at night for the most part. Pit toilets are decently clean. Tons of campgrounds along this road, I believe they’re all $20 a night and have a similar vibe. This one is more covered from the road w trees and brush the others so it’s nice for some more privacy.

Best camping site so far! Very nice owner, we were able to sit by the fire in the common "hut", there was a gas stove and fire wood - all you need! Private bathrooms, a possibility to fill up your water tanks - everything for 8.000 p. person. Also breakfast for 4.000 p. person, bread, marmalade, cheese, salami, selfemade apple mash. Very welcomig- we had breakfast together in their kitchen! You can also ask for washing the cloth, 7.000 for apx. 3kg.

located in a rather rough neighborhood but nobody bothers you, conveniently reached if you are driving from the south. the place has a shared kitchen, laundry for 200 birr, hot shower, and clean rooms ranging from 600 to 1000 birr. the place has a large yard which is really helpful if you need to reorganize and clean up. very friendly staff.

All vehicles headed west from Yucatan/QRoo/Chiapas must clear Mexican customs here, even if you never left Mexico. They will demand to see TIP and may even do a thorough search of van! Make sure you know this ajd hide ajy goodies very well when traveling west from the Yucatan or Palenque!

One of the nicest places we have stayed yet!! Nice road, very quiet! Car camped in our Jeep renegade. Not too far from the main road.

Nice place! 25000p/p sleeping in your van. Hot showers, close to the city center. We’ve made a horse riding (3-4h) included the visit of a coffee farm (140000p/p). It was really intersting and Diego was very friendly. We recommand this place.

Big casino parking, RV friendly, you have to register in casino your stay, no problem. We were there with 27ft long RV.

Fountain is hight debit, locals come take some water here too.
You have car space just in front of the fountain.
Maybe possible to hook a hose.

Very nice Campground on river in a cedar, Doug fir forest. Absolutely empty in April.

We had a problem finding the location for some reason our Google maps sent us on a dirt road in the park. I checked the coordinates again this morning and they appeared correct. So not sure what happened. Anyhow we got there finally a little late but before sunset. We were the only one there. Very beautiful and secluded. We enjoyed staying the night there. A few bugs in the morning so we packed up early. Highly recommend it.

Big parking lot next to the shopping mall with Walmart. Great to park during the day but not at night. We were asked by the security to leave (very politely!)

300m past this spot, I camped next to the fire pit.Had a peaceful time.I cooked with the lake water.No issues.No problems here at all.
If you continue along you will come to a very big lake with nice birds, and pull-in stops.

Our Mercedes Sprinter broke down two streets over and this mechanic drove us back to our van and worked on it to get it to start for us. Some wires had come loose. Took about 15 minutes and cost us $20,000clp. He was very nice.

Nice little cafe with good coffee, waffles, lunch, drinks, and desserts. Friendly staff. The man running the place speaks English very well.

Nice campground. Beautiful woods, few campers. $15 ($7.50 with pass). Minimal Verizon reception. Some sites on lake. Buggy.

This is our second time at this campground. We stayed for one week both times. At 300 pesos, it’s very reasonably priced for what you get. A nice green campsite with warm showers and FULL HOOKUPS! Also, the wifi is really fast. There is a great feeling of community every time we stay here. It’s also walking distance to all the action. We loved it here and will be back again someday.

A Local came and told us that this is private property and camping is not allowed here. It is a trailhead so not sure how it’s labelled as private property but we decided to move on either way as she came down to specifically tell us she would call the cops if we slept in our car here. Just wanted to post a heads up to others

Nice view, but be warned there’s broken glass and a decent amount of garbage. We tried to clean some of this up. For bigger rigs it’s not level, but if u don’t mind a good tilt to your vehicle it’s a nice peaceful spot

petrolstation where you can fill /refill yourself $3.79 p.gallon. Easy to handle

30.000COP for two, food for 9-10k in the restaurant outside. Good place to rest.
The price if non touristy place...

Dump and water fill for non campers, $30. Pay at front desk. Closes at 4:30 and not open Sunday.

First off this place is ‘Big Rig’ friendly. As described above they have a back gate that can handle any size rig.
We stayed with Ronnie and his crew for a week for a couple of reasons. The hospitality of this place is incredible and you were made to feel at home.
We also left our truck here and took the ferry to Ometepe for a couple of days. When we arrived back our truck was in the exact same condition as we left it. The restaurant is very basic with good food.
For sure some great friendships were made during our stay.
Ronnie was starting a new development in the campground to expand and put in hydro, concrete pads and maybe water at each site.
