We asked inside is it was possible to stay for a night and they told us that is possible !
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We arrived 5/4/24 and asked if we could camp. We were told there is a new company-wide Cracker Barrel policy - NO camping allowed. We watched them install the “no camping” signs before we left. We didn’t find ANY place to camp in Albuquerque. Continue on to Route 66 casino, they allow camping.
Report Check-InI got here right before they closed and saw other campervans, rvs in the lot. I also saw a lot of signs saying no overnight parking allowed. I was very confused, so I went in and spoke to a security guard. He said they do not allow overnight parking, but people keep doing it anyway. I said, " So, as long as they aren't setting up a camp and living here its, ok?" He said "Yeah, we let it slide as long as there are no issues". I feel wrong about staying at a place that specifically put up signs everywhere asking people not to. Im not sure why people just ignore them. Im adding photos of the signs and lot tonight.
Report Check-InVery friendly security guard informed me that they no longer allow overnight stays.
Report Check-InGot here about 8pm last night and it’s one of the nicer Cracker Barrel parking lots I’ve seen. I did just get a knock on the door by security at 10am saying I’ve been here too long and management wants to know when I’m leaving. I told them noon was my plan but I could go sooner if needed. They said noon was fine. So apparently camping is ok just not for too long. Fair😊👍🏼
Report Check-InI arrived just after closing at about 9:15pm. Stayed the night without any issues. Didn’t see any security, and there appeared to be a couple car campers. Big lot in the back. A little noisy, but not terrible.
Report Check-Inno problem for us, we asked if it was possible to stay for a night and they told us that is possible !
Report Check-InSpent the night. Yes there is security but no one bothered any of us campers.
Report Check-Inno longer allows overnight parking. security immediately came over and told us to leave. suggested the other crackers barrel about 10 miles away.
Report Check-InThis is a very busy location and a small parking lot. A few Class-As all pulling something, 4 vans, and a guy in a pickup.
The restaurant has good service. Nicer than some other Cracker Barrel locations.
Report Check-InA few other cars. Very loud truck came at 5am to take away the dumpster, then returned to drop it off an hour later. Pretty loud street overall
Report Check-InThis was a really nice cracker barrel to stay at. Ten other overnighters (Monday night) and felt very safe. The employees at this location are really nice too. Please try to support them/the business if you are in a position to do so.
Report Check-InSame as other Cracker Barrel but a little bigger. No problems, quiet night.
Report Check-InSpent the night. Met some nice fellow travellers who had been sleeping there for a week and shared some insights from the security guard.
Report Check-InWe arrived a little after 7:00pm, there were a lot campers, including huge rigs. The parking lot faces a back street instead of the main street and is relatively quiet.
Report Check-InStill a reliable overnight spot. Plenty of parking in the rear. Lots of other rvs and vans here and very quiet other than a generator once and a while. Dont forget to patronize the store before you leave. Even if its something from the shop. Its just the right thing to do.
Report Check-InLots of other campers here. But I found a good place, and had a quiet night.
In the morning I went in for breakfast and the server told me it was kind of sketchy out in the parking lot. I am guessing she was worried about some of the people that appear to have been there for weeks (and those are the people that ruin it for the rest of us! 1 night only people!!)
one of the busiest overnights I’ve had at a Cracker Barrel- 20+ vans/rv/car dwellers, decently quiet though some people were running generators. The best part is the planet fitness next door!
Report Check-InStayed here last night - probably 30 other various campers, RV, truck campers etc. Safe and quiet.
However! If you have pets, PICK UP THEIR POOP. This is how good places are ruined.
Report Check-InAfter being evicted at Flying J/Denny’s from security, I decided to come over here. So much calm compare to truck stop
Report Check-InVery calm. After being evicted at Flying J/Denny’s from security, I decided to come over here. So much calm compare to truck stop
Report Check-In4 skoolies, 2 vans, a motorhome and a 55ft 5th wheel all before 6pm on a monday. 😀
Report Check-Instayed here a few nights, quiet and lots of others staying the night in the big lot in the back
Report Check-InNice spot for the night. Parked in the back closest to the car wash and was able to connect to the car wash wifi. Noise from the road expected.
Report Check-InGot here about 6 pm. Security guard said no problem with us staying the night in our 35 ft 5th wheel. Couple other RV's already parked.
Report Check-InThe RV/Bus parking is close to the restaurant. Try to park as far as you can from the restaurant as there were cockroaches near the plant area that tried to get in my rig. I parked at the far end. Also, a lady with probably addiction issues tried to steal my bike in the back of my rid but was fortunately stopped by a cop, I was told by one of the other RVs owner. Grateful for Cracker Barrel allowing RVs to park overnight, very helpful but always be aware of your surroundings.
Report Check-InGood nights sleep. Pretty safe. Several other sprinters and campers around. Try not to park in the back farthest to the right under the tree. Sprinklers went off on us around midnight
Overrall pretty chill
Lots of other RVs and vans parked here. Large parking lot for all types of vehicles. In my opinion, Cracker Barrel’s are better than Walmarts other than not being open 24 hrs. Also there’s a planet fitness and a laundromat (Wash Tub) on the next block if you need to do some chores in the morning.
Report Check-InU can stay but its not quiet. I came and decided to go to a different spot
Report Check-InLots of spots to park. We'll lit. Busy area of town but not too bad.
Report Check-InArrived around midnight. There was about 4 others here. Had to stay here after security at loves knocked and stated that I could not park for longer than an hour.
Report Check-InA quiet night was had.. few other vans in the lot as well. Grassy spot in the rear to walk the dogs. close to fuel, McDonald's and many other chains, markets etc.
Report Check-InWe called ahead of time and we're told it's fine to stay in the parking lot. We ended up staying here three different nights, not in a row, while in Albuquerque. Very close to the petroglyph national Park. It's a busy area but it quiets down a bit at night. there were plenty of other RVs and camper vans in the lot overnight.
Report Check-InBig lot but someone with a pickup towing a travel trailer couldn’t find a place long enough.
Report Check-Innice quiet parking lot, we felt very safe. The sprinklers came on at 4 and 6 am and gave us a car wash lol
Report Check-InWell lighted parking lot behond Cracker Barrel is next to Mister Car Wash which has free wifi.
Report Check-InWe parked after 8 pm and there was plenty of space left. It was a great place to stop for the night! Other campers were parked around us as well
Report Check-InFantastic- flat, safe parking lot, 3 low intensity lights, good night of sleep with one other van for company. I called ahead, but they said I did not have to do so.
Report Check-InTwo RVs, a schoolie & another van in back lot with a few cars. Bright but quiet.
Report Check-InQuiet place to catch some sleep at night. Had a couple other car sleepers in the lot.
