Mirador is absolutely stunning! Worth the drive.

Road to Mirador is gravel and can be done with just about any rig, just take it slow. We met a 7t Iveco 2wd flat bed along the way..
We thought the road down was pretty easy compared to the earlier posts. Will depend on your size, weight, clearance if you feel comfortable to go down. Normal 2wd passenger car drive there as well.

Locals staying at the hotel drugged and attempted to assault my travel partner and assaulted me when I intervened. The police then came and I was taken to jail with no reason given, leaving my partner to stay at the hotel next door to her assaulters. She was not told where I was taken and the police did not give me food, water, or a phone call during my stay while others in the cell were given those things. My partner was forcibly removed from the hotel in the morning by staff. Avoid.

Entry now $40/pp. Camping looked great, but was asked to pay an extra $100mxn over Santa Semana week. Suspect this is not legitimate and/or perhaps isolated to this holiday week. didn't stay.

Updated post confirming availability and seclusion from road. Canyon views a bit obscured, but overall excellent stay for a night.

Perfect quiet night. We saw some wild animals near the river. Few minutes to visit tombstone

You can park for free in front of the park entrance. There is a guard all night watching. Quiet at night but there is traffic noise in the evening and morning

Very good Cafe and restaurant. Nice vibe and service. We had Schnitzels with pumpking, spinach cream and chips for 90 pula. They have special of the day also (today was 2 pastas from the menu from 110 both). Recomend it.

Small reception but quite organised and efficient. We could pay by credit card or USD. No internet with Econet.

All as previously said. Note the price for Exclusive Campsites such as this one for internationals is 180 USD per site per night for up to 6 people OR 30 USD per person per night if you show up at the gate and the campsite is available. The site can accommodate up to 12 people and 4 cars maximum. Other exclusive campsites with same price are: Directors, Chilojo 1 and 2, Hlaro, Chitove, Machaniwa and Chamulavati. The so called "Developed Campsites" which have ablutions and more facilities are cheaper. No Econet network at all in this area.

We came here after visiting and seeing sunset at white sand NP. We stayed 1 night, arrived late and there was space enough. No bad smell for us, I guess we were lucky. No good reception with t-mobile. Nice flat spots with front lake. Bm.aroundtheworld from Switzerland

lancha/colectivo are 100 quetzales by people for livingstone ( round trip)

Nice and clean near the city. Hot showers and wifi at the reception. 700$ pp + 400$ for our Kombi.

The only Western Union you can find in Esquel, at 10 pm. Very nice guy. WhatsApp = 2945-555857 to make sure that they have money.

Fantastic location, well away from I-10 that you don't here any highway noise. There were two other motorhomes when I showed up, and plenty of room. Disappointingly I arrived after sunset, as pictures here have indicated a beautiful sunset. The night I stayed it was windy as hell, the cat was worried that we'd be blown over. Mobile service (Google Fi) was solid.

Safe parking lot in front of the sea. Asked the owner if we could stay the night and it was not a problem. Access to toilet all night. Had a nice dinner and breakfast there.

Nice sandy beach with BBQ's, shaded tables/places, toilets and some informations about flora and fauna, at the access road there's a pond with facilities too. Really cool place to spend the day, relax and be in nature (of course with other people around), but it was a relaxed atmosphere on a working day. You're not allowed to stay overnight but we were told that there's a "Granja Don Julian" were they allow motorhomes to camp but charge a fee.

Este lugar é para quem gosta de aventura. Fica localizado no alto da rampa de voo de Chachoeira Alta, Alfredo Chaves. A estrada exige bastante do carro. Subimos em uma Renault Master. O Visual é lindo, tem água potavel. Ficamos no estacionamento. Nao tem ponto de energia, mas tem Wi-Fi.

Nice for one night felt safe. Amazing view when waking up.

Slept one night here on our way to Bonito. 24h gas station, very calm and safe place.

Loved this campground! No fee. Clean bathroom, flush toilets, and a .5mile loop trail up the mountain. Almost stayed 2 nights. Lots of ppl there when I arrived. RVs tents cars

Nice shady spots, right on the road. The road quiets down at night for the most part. Pit toilets are decently clean. Tons of campgrounds along this road, I believe they’re all $20 a night and have a similar vibe. This one is more covered from the road w trees and brush the others so it’s nice for some more privacy.
