Great drive out. Newly paved road to campsites. Site 1 across from pit toilet. Short trees, feels private. Cold at 5k elevation.
Used AmTheB pass # for Golden pass discount. Paid online from site.

Right as we got here we noticed our neighboring campsite had an unattended fire in gusty winds! There were fire-lit charcoal and small logs of wood all over the campsite on fire near chemicals and fuel cans. We cleaned up what we could and called the local fire dept who showed up in about 5 minutes and took over. No water, no camp staff, pit toilets and be prepared to bring your own toilet paper. Quiet , some bumpier dirt roads, use caution with rvs and trailers

Cost is now $20 and the place doesn’t seem to be staffed at all so pay at Rec.gov or as you arrive. The campground is not very close to the reservoir so no hope of launching your kayak from your site like at Quail Creek. We spent the day at Snow Canyon (which was full) so this was a good match for our needs. Lots of sparse juniper trees dotted here and there give a tiny bit of privacy, but this is the desert after all. Site 11 looked the most private to me. Red sand sites with good sized parking and a picnic table is what you’ll get. View of hills is nice. Still vault toilets and generators are allowed until 9pm.

Nice campground. Keep in mind - no water, no dump. Good location for hiking and biking in the area, but no good trails right next to campground. Cell coverage is very good.

I nice place with lot's to offer. It will be full early on weekdays.

Quiet place. 12$ per site per night which is expensive for a dry site. No dump. No water, only pit toilets. You can find other place like that for free.
