Description

Large flat area along a dirt road leading to the Poopo Viejo cemetery. Far enough from the road to be very quiet and not to be seen easily. Out of sight from the village. In the evening the traffic on the main road became very quiet. We didn’t hear anything during the night, but enjoyed the beautiful sky with so many stars. On the dirt road where we were parked, no cars at all from the time we arrived (around 5.30 PM), the first vehicle passed at 8.30 AM. Park away from the road, to avoid dust when a vehicle passes. Good coverage of Entel.

Latest Check-Ins

Tented nearby this spot with no problems. A bit windy so maybe the exact coordinates would've been more protected. The accommodation in town was all full, but we were able to fill up water in town before setting up camp at this spot. Could definitely still hear highway, and some cars and motorcycles passed by on the road multiple times. Good enough for a night!

Report Check-In

I decided to camp on the other side of the road, basically around the back of the cemetery. This was only because a couple of cars drove down the lane while I was choosing a camping spot. At this side of the road there is a long mound of dirt piled up so my spot is hidden from the road.
