My visit here ended up being fine, rvs around as well, I stayed in a car.
Had a sketchy guy pull up in between two of us and start drinking beer and smoking pot in the back of the parking lot where we were staying. Left, then returned with a friend and did the same.
Also saw homeless wandering around the Cracker Barrel.
Overrall was not bothered and had a good nights sleep

Big site with many options for camping - not much space between camper van pitches, weird but very clean showers with no place to hang clothes or put anything down Sqaut toilets. Washing machines at extra cost. Pool and restaurant on site, camp is close to the beach.

Spent a nice night here. Everyone was SO kind and welcoming. It’s a family business. For L200 (2 adults, 1 child), we were able to camp and were given the key to a room. The room had a toilet and a big shower. Cold water shower and clean. We were able to tuck into the back corner of the parking lot in the shade. Easy to walk to the town square and area restaurants.

Unfortunately, upon entering this parking lot, we noticed a "No overnight parking" sign. We were forced to change locations.

Very cool, free place on the side, quite popular among other car travelers. Together with us, there were 4-5 cars of different sizes in the parking lot, but still everyone had a lot of privacy. Noise from the road was rather low at night. We recommend this place.

Nice campground with well spaced sites. Loop A has a short trail to the lake/beach area. Sites are wooded and not lakeside. Cost $29CN. Dirt road to get here was rough, perhaps freshly regraveled and not flattened down yet. Pit toilet, trash bins and firewood. While nice, not worth the high price and rough road in.

Fort Ransom is located in the midst of the scenic and heavily wooded Sheyenne River Valley. The river provides abundant opportunities for canoeing, fishing, and bird watching, while a short segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail can be found within the park. During the summer, horse back riding and camping are favorite activities, while cross country sking is a popular winter sport. Numerous hiking trails, cabins, house and covered wagon for rent. Numerous camping sites with corrals for horses. Canoes, kayaks and ski rentals available.

This is a big, built-up restaurant area with river waterfalls pools (also has cabanas and camping). The big, clean, new washrooms behind the restaurant have good showers. Water was nice and hot during the day, cold at night. Maybe it’s solar? The right tap is the hot water. If you buy a drink at the restaurant, you can use the showers. They have beers here.

Awesome ruins! We shared a boat with a family, 6 of us total and paid 1200p for the boat plus 90p entry each to the ruins and 30p entry to the town. All in, 320p to visit the ruins per person and totally worth it. It’s convenient to wait at the town entrance for other tourists to come since everybody has to stop at the same building, then you can find people to share the boat with easily before anyone has agreed to anything.
The ruins were very cool, almost nobody else there, and have good signage in English. Don’t miss going inside the 2 story creepy building in the ruins. Bring good shoes, very jungly and slippery stones. The boat ride (~45 min each way) was pleasant also, saw a big croc!

A smaller set of beautiful waterfalls not far from the entrance, with a few large pools to swim in. Lots of picnic tables, clean washrooms, not many people during the week. At sunset, hundreds of swallows fly through the big waterfall into the cave behind!
25pp entrance + 20pp entrance to the town. You can camp here in the secure parking lot, surrounded by nature and listening to the waterfalls as you fall asleep also! Watch your step as we saw a really well camouflaged little snake in the parking lot that the guard told us was venomous 😱

Workshop of a mechanical turner extremely helpful. Build and repair multiple parts.
He built a Brazilian gas connection and helped us exchange the T water connections under the motorhome that broke because of the freezing.
We discovered Fernando by accident and indicated it to all travelers.

This was the nicest place! For showers: $5 for 15 min, $1 for every minute after. $10 deposit, got it back no problems. They provide a towel, wash cloth, and bath mat and have shampoo, soap etc available for purchase. One person at a time. The shower was lovely— very private. Had a shower stool available.

The laundromat itself is very nice. We didn’t do laundry there, but since the shower was one person at a time we waited around. The staff was SO friendly. They have snacks and beverages available for purchase. Also an attached car wash.

The next time we come through this way, we’ll be making this a one-stop-shop. Only downside is since there’s only one shower, there may be a wait occasionally. Didn’t get the sense the wait got too bad too often.

Not to be confused with the Camping World store, this is an RV park called Eugene Kamping World where non guests can dump for $10. There's also bulk propane on site, currently a decent price at $3/gal. Not sure if they'd let you fill water tanks as well.

We ended up staying the entire day-and-night. Absolutely loved our time here it was quiet there were ducks. People came in-and-out feed the ducks, fishing , dumpster was picked up, porta potties for service while we were there. Other than that really no traffic coming in or out.. I must have been lucky because we did not receive any kind of smells from the oil.

Wow this place is amazing, we bought a van with a expired TIP because of the pandemic. After a lot of frightening stories about big fines and no possibility to ever drive the van, we came in contact with Veronica from Cargorider. She did an amazing job and managed to get us a permission for 20 days to leave colombia with no fines at all! (Small explanation: we went to Aduana in Santa Marta and they tried to give us a fine of 9.000.000 pesos.) Veronica only asked 119.000 service fee. She was so helpfull, and she is always ready for whatever you need.
