Estuvimos algunos días justo al frente del centro de visitantes pero en el parqueo grande al lado del Bosque de las señales. No hubo problemas.

We spent a few days right in front of the visitor center but in the large parking lot next to the Forest of Signals. There were no problems. Even police came around to check visitor center and we weren't bothered. Many campers sleep every day. If you park near to the center you can use the WiFi. Internet from 8am to 730pm only. If you're lucky like us, you can see red foxes crossing the parking lot around 10pm.

Visa applications are received between 09.00 and 13.00. Better to apply early if you want to receive the visa the next day. I applied at 09.00 and collected at 14.30 the next day.

In addition to documents in the previous posts I was asked for a copy of my entry stamp to Congo.

If driving south on hwy117, boat launch sign. Fast left turn onto Hardwicke road about 3km in . We asked permission to park in the visitor area . Suitable in low season for small campers . We’re in a older Roadtrek . Fee $3. They didn’t want it . Area is normally for boat trailers . Very quiet. Nice riverside view . 2 bars cell service

Ample parking in front of a very quiet business plaza. Parked in front of subway one end as there was a security camera outside and was unsure of how safe it was. No signs at all about parking regulations. Parked from 6-10 pm no issue at all.

Walk is a bit of a pain in the ass. But hey, free Vegas parking. Open lot parking so no clearance issues. Walk down under the overpass (lit at night) felt pretty safe, and up through cesars palace self parking.

We stayed for two nights and paid 20 USD total. Toilet is ok and we felt safe. At the first night the night guard let us in with no problem. At the second night there was another night guard, he didn't want to let us in because the reglement not allowed clients to stay overnight. After a long disscusion he let us "exceptionally" in.

The Spanish/Colombian couple that owns the place seems to have put a lot of work in this place over the past years. Very nice Cabanas and rooms starting at high prices around 150kCOP and one epic, secluded Cabana overlooking the canyon [I think for 500kCOP]. Paid 30kCOP for tent camping. Seems like a lot but somewhat worth-it. Huge camping area with gorgeous views and very new, modern, European-style house with hot showers and toilettes. Restaurant and wifi at the main house.

Someone already stated they always have diesel, and they did. But due to a computer issue, they weren't able to dispense any and sent everyone back to Maun. Some people were not happy. Luckily I only needed petrol and no issue there, luckily. My tank with my jerry cans is just big enough for the planned loop from here and back to here.

Awesome spot right on the lake with a picnic table and fire pit. Perfect spot, and it’s free! There is a small hill to get down to this bit, I’m not sure if a big rig could get down here was just in my minivan. But there is a spot closer to the entrance by the big school bus that would seem to work.

Nice relatively clean RV park with hookups. Both 30 Amp and 50 Amp, wifi available for only 1 device. Fairly expensive at $930 monthly with subsequent months being $830 for a back in, no shade and only a single rest room facility, which unfortunately was out of service for several days during our stay. No other amenities such as a pool or club house unfortunately. There is a much cheaper option in Boulder city with better amenities and closer to the action, better choice for full-time RVs who work.

I drove in on this road in the dark (after the Dark Night Sky program at Great Basin) and was easily able to find a pull out on this road to spend the night. I didn’t pass anyone on the way in and I only saw one truck camper leaving in the morning, so it’s a pretty quiet spot. Didn’t go far enough to get to the primitive campsites w/ the pit toilets, but they’re supposedly just a bit further up the road.

It's marked as a Campsite on google maps, but it's definitely outdated and do not even try to camp here. Border and coast guards coming along frequently.
They send us away and mentioned, that it is forbidden to stay below 500m distance to the beach. If I understood right, they usually give fines, but as we told them, that we've got electrical problems, they accepted to let us stay here for one night. The next morning they sent us away, imediately and told, that the earlier Officers were wrong, with letting us stay here.

Fantastic place and no risk of being woken by the balloons. Track approaching through the valley from Ürgüp is very steep and has some washouts — did it in low-range and with central diff lock to protect the track. Explore the little valley below the spot on foot and discover the small gorge towards North. Had a hoopoe bird visiting multiple times!

Great area with a couple of spots near each other. Some hills and rock features give some privacy which is nice. BUGS in June, biting gnats, worst in the afternoon to dusk, mostly gone at night. Not a soul in sight on a Wednesday night

Really nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. You have a nice view over the city and even the 2 dams. It's really really clean ! And the family is welcoming. The room has AC and private bathroom. The room for 2 pers with breakfast is at 500£ so 27$ (We negotiated a little bit).
The car is parked in front of the hotel (not gate) but it's calm and looks safe.

$18 dollars a night in the middle of Grand Canyon National Park. Very big campground with spacious campsites, also suitable for big groups. Reservations actually needed but we just went up there and even though it said "full" we still asked and got a spot, note that you do need to arrive at office hours. Toilets and potable water available. showers for $2.50every site has a picnic table and fire ring (but mostly not allowed to make). we did not manage to get the hearings in the soil though but that might be our site. lots of trees around, so not too windy

Kagi invited us on his land for one week. We stayed in his very nice and well maintained garden. The place is only 5-10min from the city center. You can shower with clean water in a bucket and there are dry toilets. He charged us only 10k/night to support Danny the handyman.
