Great place to stay, nice and quiet when we stayed, we had dinner and our waiter said we were more than welcome to stay in the car park.

National Forest Service Campground. Very nice! bathrooms and showers on site. We stayed in D4 and we loved it. D4 is a FF which is what we wanted so we could add days if we wanted to (which we did) and then head out when ready. Park personal were AWESOME AND FRIENDLY

Camp at one of the most serene and beautiful lakes at the base of the Three Sisters mountains. Take a dip in the refreshing waters on this hot summer day while watching dragonflies and butterflies play. Later, witness the majesty of a bald eagle 🦅 hunt overhead, soaring then diving, to catch a meal to eat on a nearby fallen tree.

Surprisingly few mosquitos in the early morning and evening. Still, be prepared.
Two bars on Cricket wireless. Had service the whole time.
Pleasingly quiet with fewer than 5 cars driving by on the road above.
Two parties arrived on Thursday evening, but we didn't realize until we left the next morning; very private.
Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Crane sightings daily.
Very clean. Little bits here and there to be picked up.
Vault toilets near Browns Mountain boat launch.
LOTS of potholes for the last mile or so. Go slow and engage your core 😉

right behind Wendy's there is a big grass field. Only a big green Container there. We camped right behind it with a tent.

Not really beautiful or legal but will do the Trick for one night. No traffic the entire Day.

Quiet campsite. Overlooking a cliff and a valley. With a little swimming pool. Quite well maintained. Paid 24 Euro for a family of 3 with a tent.

This place is great, so nice that they let you stay for free!!! Check in at motel office and give your license plate info. I actually liked the vibe in the gift shop / restaurant for some reason. And there are toilets with running water in there. Wake up with a nice view of the mountains, what more can you ask for?!

Free parking lot with walking path by the river. Drive onto the grassy parking area behind some hedges, which will offer some privacy and shield some traffic noise. 4 caravans could comfortably fit on the grassy area alone. There are small red biting ants so wouldn’t recommend sitting on the ground, but a great private spot otherwise. Maybe 1-2 tents could squeeze in, but it’s not ideal renting ground and also risk of ants crawling into tent.

Veryyyyyyy nice cakes (the blueberry/lemon and the banana chocolate are so good!) and coffee; they have espressos, capuchinos (plant based milk available), hot chocolate, tea, juices and smoothies available as well.

They have a menu with breakfast, lunches and dinner. We didn’t try much of the food but mostly the desserts:)

A nice place for vegans. Their wifi is strong!

Stayed here in our 35ft Fifthwheel. Lot's of parking. We parked along the bus parking at the very back. Many others here to catch the sunrise. Stayed until opening then left shortly after not to take up space.

Amazing views! Very rough road coming in and especially the drive up the boulder, but so worth every bit. Complete isolation and peace and quiet. At the end of the road is a wonderful hike. Lots of bugs in the evening so be prepared! We’re definitely going back.

Great workshop if you‘re having trouble with your car. The staff is very experienced and pragmatic. They got us back on the road even though we have a foreign vehicle without any parts available in North America.

Beautiful view at surrounding mountains. Nice flat and grassy campsite. Friendly owner who arranges boattrips. Price is 2500 shilling per tent. Meal in the restaurant is 600 shilling/5 dollar.

Shower is cold but if you ask, they offer you a shower in one of the rooms.

It was a halfway nice and free accessible place along the dead sea coast, at which we stood for one night. The way down the beach is easy, but takes 10 minutes or so.

van driver here, ok to drive a high clearance van in 2wd. it was pouring rain when we crossed and have 4x4 but never engaged it. big chicken buses come a couple of times a day so it's very bumpy in parts with big dips but for the most part it's a packed gravel road except where the landslides have made the road very muddy, but not very deep. only a few areas that had big rocks or deep holes that you absolutely need high clearance. a Fiat ducato probably couldn't make it, but I would say most others could.

after 3 hours bumping down this road from Jardin it was nice to find a place to pull out. I would not have driven down this road but it was a dream! immediately away from the road and out of sight with many flat spots to stop. in the middle of a kind of strange eucalyptus farming area the views are very Dr Seuss-like. no one bothered us all night. plenty of firewood. a single farmer with a cow walked by in the morning.

still 10k per person to enter the personal property of a kind old lady to walk through her beautiful garden. it's not a very big property but man is it packed full of birds. it could be walked in 60 seconds but I recommend staying much longer. dozens of cock-of-the-rock's, a few species of hummingbirds, a pair of tropical screech owls, and maybe 10 green jays. the woman appreciated us taking our time and showed us a few special species of flowers, a frog, and a couple of caterpillars that dozens of people walked right past.

awesome spot! room for 1, maybe 2 vans/cars - not a place for larger rigs as there is no place to human m turn around. easy access to the beautiful clear blue river. if you take the trail to the left, it'll take you to an area for great tent camping right by a more sandy part of the beach. few people came by to walk by the water but no one else tried to stay.
