We had dinner at the restaurant wich was also perfect.
We paid 140 pula pppn for camping.
40 pula for the starter and 160 pula for a huge steak with fries and vegetables.

We parked in the dead end street for two nights. Friendly neighbors, quiet, safe, lot of cats. Toilet is open, water available. In the evening some teenagers in the park.

Price is in dollars now. 25 USD ppn so we didn't stay. If you're East Africa resident it's cheaper to camp inside Mara Triangle even with Park fees included. No resident price at this campsite. Probably worth it if you're a foreigner tourist though.

It is a wild camping BUT you must pay a fee to the Masaï community who will show up, which is normal since it's their land. Daniel and John seem to be the chiefs to whom you can pay ( John Naleke's phone: +254718523411 ) They wanted 2500 pp - absurd since it's almost the price of the campsite at Mara West - so we reduced it way down. Paid in the morning after a peaceful night sleep. Very easy access from the road that leads to Mara West Camp and no one can see you from the road. Stunning view over Mara Triangle savanna. Zebras, elands, antelopes around the camp. Lots of shade. Would have stayed there for days if we could. Good Safaricom internet signal.

Very nice spot on the lake. 500meter small road to get there but worth it. Quiet.

Arrived on Wednesday around 4:30 pm and there was someone in the church, I asked and could camp next to the church, access to water and baño. nice view on the lake

Expensive place and you still have to pay $12 extra to enter the hotsprings which is just made into a pool. Go for a little walk and find the natural ones. We booked the cheapest campsites which was $78 and the shower was not clean and had no pressure. Walk to the other shower building at the bigger spots and the showers are very nice.

El agua estaba súper caliente, y lo disfrutamos mucho, ya que cuando llegamos estábamos a 17°C . Nosotros pagamos los 25Q adicionales para las privadas, lo cual valen la pena y no muchos pagan las privadas así que estábamos solos.

No pudimos conocer a Rosmery, nos atendió Cristina quien dijo que aquí era el lugar de Rosmery.
Cristina nos ofreció un buen lugar, retirado del restaurante principal, aquí es un buen lugar para quedarse entre semana, nosotros estuvimos 2 noches (miércoles y jueves) tranquilo.
Cristina nos cobró $75Q por las 2 noches pero no utilizamos nada, ni agua, luz, baño, rancho que le llaman a las chozas con mesas y sillas, ese precio fue únicamente por el parqueo de las 2 noches, si usas algo más te sube el precio. Nos ofreció cocinarnos si queríamos comer, $70Q el plato de pescado con ensalada, papas y tortilla.

We stayed 3 nights at Ilianets restaurant and really enjoyed our time there. We're sleeping in a tent and the rain proof palapa with electricity and light was perfect for us. The palapas next door are very run down and they won't hold back any rain.. We felt very safe and didn't hear about any safety issues after talking to other overlanders who camped there for a longer time.
We've been allowed to use the WiFi of the hotel and it just reached the camping area which was fine for us.
Prices are still 150 per person even after trying very hard to get the price down a little bit. Everything on the beach is very expensive though.

This is a very nice campsite. We were the only ones here. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Parking is legal (and free) at this spot (in the curve just before you get to the tower) Enough space for large campers close to the road, and smaller ones can get a bit further off the road (using a high ground clearance road).
Be sure to stay clear of the mountain bike trails coming down from the tower... they are fairly clear, but ask any rider if you are uncertain.
LOVELY skies at night! Quiet - you will not see anyone after dark! A couple of restaurants within 5 minute walk by the tower (weekends and in the high summer season)
Orpheus Rocks is a 10 min walk up the trail.. and it is VERY worth the effort! (the last 100m is a bit strenuous when you come back)... see the picture for the view!

Absolutely lovely year-round spring. Flows well and will fill any size water container in minutes. It tastes FANTASTIC! Pull off is on a slight hill, but you can head up the mountain a few kms to reach a good turnround.

A very nice campground in the forest next to a small river. Natural pools, tables, some activities and a restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff. The place has some hanging cabanas (built by an architect). You can not enter with a car!

Great place to stay, nice and quiet when we stayed, we had dinner and our waiter said we were more than welcome to stay in the car park.

National Forest Service Campground. Very nice! bathrooms and showers on site. We stayed in D4 and we loved it. D4 is a FF which is what we wanted so we could add days if we wanted to (which we did) and then head out when ready. Park personal were AWESOME AND FRIENDLY

As described. Not for long term but an awesome one night in the area with great views and fire rings.

Stationnement pour accès au parc de Parulines. Aucune indication concernant les heures d’ouvertures du stationnement, nous avons dormis ici 1 nuit et n’avons pas été dérangé.

Juan Walter est un guide très sympathique qui fait tout pour que les gens de passage apprécient la région. Il a des bateaux et fait des excursions. On peut lui demander d’aller pêcher. Si on repasse à Fortin Soledad, on reviendra sans hésiter vers lui.

Camp at one of the most serene and beautiful lakes at the base of the Three Sisters mountains. Take a dip in the refreshing waters on this hot summer day while watching dragonflies and butterflies play. Later, witness the majesty of a bald eagle 🦅 hunt overhead, soaring then diving, to catch a meal to eat on a nearby fallen tree.

Surprisingly few mosquitos in the early morning and evening. Still, be prepared.
Two bars on Cricket wireless. Had service the whole time.
Pleasingly quiet with fewer than 5 cars driving by on the road above.
Two parties arrived on Thursday evening, but we didn't realize until we left the next morning; very private.
Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Crane sightings daily.
Very clean. Little bits here and there to be picked up.
Vault toilets near Browns Mountain boat launch.
LOTS of potholes for the last mile or so. Go slow and engage your core 😉

Leider nur zu den Öffnungszeiten und nur innen. Man bekommt einen Gästecode (man braucht je Gerät einen) und kann sich einfach anmelden. Leider geht kein VPN, daher manche Downloads nicht.

right behind Wendy's there is a big grass field. Only a big green Container there. We camped right behind it with a tent.

Not really beautiful or legal but will do the Trick for one night. No traffic the entire Day.

Quiet campsite. Overlooking a cliff and a valley. With a little swimming pool. Quite well maintained. Paid 24 Euro for a family of 3 with a tent.

Bulgaria side: No passport control. Only pay 6 euros for the bridge toll.
Romania side, after the bridge: check passports and auto documents (we are on carnet de passage). 10 mins overall.

This place is great, so nice that they let you stay for free!!! Check in at motel office and give your license plate info. I actually liked the vibe in the gift shop / restaurant for some reason. And there are toilets with running water in there. Wake up with a nice view of the mountains, what more can you ask for?!
