Wonderful spot, both for camper vans and tents. The aforementioned lake is a bit small and a bit too green to swim or drink, but there is a river nearby with wonderfully cold water. Problem is it seems dammed in so you have to walk about 0.5 km on the dry riverbed until you find the stream. Still, very nice spot. You could probably stay multiple days here.

Ok place for a night, especially with the proximity to the national park, but the gravel road is very busy. If you have T-Mobile you'll be roaming on AT&T's network and will have intermittent internet.

Price is still 35000 per night which is very fair. We were told we had to drive to the right from the entrance, and all that's there is a parking lot with the possibility to plug in to electricity in the corner of it. The toilets were clean but the only shower we found (asked another employee there if there were others, he also pointed us there) was rather dirty and the light didn't work. Water was hot though. We spend two nights there, and only saw David for a brief moment at the reception, and another brief moment when we were about to leave. Apparently they were prepping for the club's anniversary, so this could be the reason we didnt get the same service as stated below. Good and safe spot at walking distance from the city, but not that idyllic.

Places where is permitted overnight are clearly marked. Some trains passed during the night but the noise did not disturb us.

As described. If cycling, note the gravel road is a bit steep at the beginning but worth the climb! Flat open spaces around the 0.9km mark suitable for tents or vehicles. I could only faintly hear the highway, didn’t see anyone else when I was there.

Great place to stay. No shade but the wind makes for a great breezy through the van. Full service with Verizon. Awesome spot to post up and get some quiet work done. Dogs had plenty of room to roam. 2.5 days here and a golf cart came through.

Parked overnight on 19July2022. Didn’t see any signs not allowing overnight parking. Left at 7.30 am after spending a night of restful sleep. As with other feedback on this place, is close to 5S so expect some engine noise as truckers slow down for roundabout.

The road to get here was rough, but I made it in an Outback. The flies were terrible though, I have never had that big of an issue with flies before. They swarmed me and my car. I still stayed the night but was not really able to enjoy the stay.

The area was gorgeous otherwise!

Good for a night if you just need a place to sleep. Bathrooms open over the night and maybe the guest Wi-Fi from the learning center is working.

Well we are camped on the river bank with a very pleasant view of the forest and mountains beyond. A hidden gem for sure!. A couple of 4x4 came down the trail and crossed the river to camp on the other side but other than that we were alone.

We’re on bicycles, camped in the back left. Staff were surprised but very nice. Open toilets, outside tap, nice ish space for tent and pretty hidden from the main road.

Overnight parking is possible in one of 3 vasts parking , can be noisy as casino is open 24h

Awesome spot tucked into the trees right next to the river. I reached it just fine in 2WD, but it could get hairy in muddy conditions. Far enough from the highway that the road noise is barely audible. Established firepit and river access. Only downside is the mosquitoes, but they didn't bother me too much. :)

Great spot! A number of free sites with a pit toilet on site. Just behind the pit toilet there is a sign for a trailer dump with water, between the site and the police station. Water is directly above the trailer dump but is blue handle and not labelled non-potable. We drank it without issue.

Relaxing, very calm hotel with small swimming pool, just beside the church.

No issues parking here for the night - saw a sign on our way out that was on the ground saying no overnight camping. Hope they keep it open as it is very convenient.

pretty nice campspot. it is reservation only now so just Google the name and book online. nightly fare was around $22 for non hook-ups. with hot shower and pretty clean bathroom. campsites are with bear boxes for food storage. the car hangtag valid for the campsite can also let you into the main park lakeshore area for free (otherwise 3 bucks). the campsites are pretty dense so you might be close to your neighbors and looking at each other lol

Stayed here overnight. Loud engine brake noises thru the night. Bathrooms decent for 5 pesos. Flat area to park.

Amazing setting, open air, lovely restaurant for any meal. We had the best margaritas we have had so far here. The Bloom salad was amazing, and ceviches were great. The arachera steak was juicy and tasty and the chimichanga with shrimp delicious. Super friendly manager and the service was perfect. Totally recommendable!

Really stunning view from North beaver mesa on Beaver creek,South beaver mesa and several 3700+ m peaks. You can set you table and chairs right on the edge of the cliff. The spot is totally secluded, and can accommodate a couple of small vehicles. High ground clearance recommended. Lots of shade.
No service. Dangerous for kids.

Currently the prices are $5 for washing and $8.00 for larger machines. 25 cents per 4 minutes of drying.

You can stand directly on the river. There are a lot of trees for shadow.

The water is cold.

We had dinner at the restaurant wich was also perfect.
We paid 140 pula pppn for camping.
40 pula for the starter and 160 pula for a huge steak with fries and vegetables.

We parked in the dead end street for two nights. Friendly neighbors, quiet, safe, lot of cats. Toilet is open, water available. In the evening some teenagers in the park.

Price is in dollars now. 25 USD ppn so we didn't stay. If you're East Africa resident it's cheaper to camp inside Mara Triangle even with Park fees included. No resident price at this campsite. Probably worth it if you're a foreigner tourist though.

It is a wild camping BUT you must pay a fee to the Masaï community who will show up, which is normal since it's their land. Daniel and John seem to be the chiefs to whom you can pay ( John Naleke's phone: +254718523411 ) They wanted 2500 pp - absurd since it's almost the price of the campsite at Mara West - so we reduced it way down. Paid in the morning after a peaceful night sleep. Very easy access from the road that leads to Mara West Camp and no one can see you from the road. Stunning view over Mara Triangle savanna. Zebras, elands, antelopes around the camp. Lots of shade. Would have stayed there for days if we could. Good Safaricom internet signal.

Very nice spot on the lake. 500meter small road to get there but worth it. Quiet.
