A beautiful and very quiet place ! No access problem with a 2wd minivan.

Report Check-In

Excellent BC Rec site. 5 formal sites that are large and well spaced with lots of room and extra spaces to tuck more vehicles into if needed. Pit toilets clean. A few bugs in the evening but not bad. Beautiful full moon over the lake when we were there.

Report Check-In

Beau lac mais ce n’est pas très accessible avec un motorisé de 26 pieds

Report Check-In

Nice place near the lake, few sites, a pit toilets…a lot of mosquitoes as usual 😅

Report Check-In

As stated. Tight spaces but several Unimog/camper vans (European) snugged themselves in after we took what we thought was the last spot! Not a place for large rigs as you can judge when accessing the road in. Narrow but manageable with smaller units.

Report Check-In

As described by others. Site open enough for Starlink on far end, point south now.

Report Check-In

Just beautiful.
Enjoyed a quiet night by the beach. Pit toilet was very acceptable for a free site, bring your own TP.
No garbage collection here, please take your trash with you, there are plenty of litter bins along the Hwy. Road down here not suitable for large vehicles.

Report Check-In

Beautiful lakefront camping. Sites are small but, we found a spot on a Saturday afternoon.

Report Check-In

Great little camping spot. About 5 sites. Currently has a bunch of cut and fallen trees that need some cleaning up. Be careful where you park as other trees are in danger of falling and marked for cutting. Still a nice place with some trails through the woods.

Report Check-In

Lovely quiet flat spot on the lake. Fire rings, mountain views and easy access from the Alcan. No cell service

Report Check-In

Amazing lake front sites . Approx 5 sites. Pit toilets, fire rings. Take a walk to the right to a smaller beach with a memorial cairn. Slight breeze keeps the mosquitos from being too much of an annoyance. Unmarked gravel road right before the sign to the Yukon Morely River Rec site. Narrow bumpy road down not recommended for larger RVs or trailers. 4/5 stars

Report Check-In

Stayed a night here. Nice beach front area, ok pit toilets.

Bugs were pretty bad at this time.

Report Check-In

Not marked heading southbound. We saw the entrance after we passed it.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot on the lake. 500meter small road to get there but worth it. Quiet.

Report Check-In

open again after the flood, still very beautiful spot

Report Check-In

large gravel parking area, 2 tent camping spots but more room for sleeping in a vehicle or camper. pit toilet had toilet paper.

mosquitos were out and about but the highway noise wasn't too bad.

Report Check-In

Flooded out. Closed. River at very high level. The rest stop campsite is open.

Report Check-In

Amazing place to park. The rules indicate that it is free and maximum 14 days. No snow to this date. Plenty of space for all types of vehicles. There were about 8 campers when we arrived and there was still plenty of room. Parked just next to lake, beautiful.

Report Check-In

May 16 - Still a lot of snow and therefore, not accessible.

Report Check-In

Nice place close to the river, good option during winter as recreation site is not vacated from snow

Report Check-In

beautiful place. at this time, lots of cranberries, crow berries and blueberries!

Report Check-In

Very calm and beautyfull place . Good place for fishing et s’endormir au son des Huarts 🥰

Report Check-In

Beauty of a spot to stay. I arrived and was the only one there. The spot at the far end is best, most privacy so no one will be driving by you. Right beside the lake, nice weather, and a breeze so less mosquitoes than other areas (for now). No signage on the road to turn in here, but its before the Yukon border Rec site sign. Trucks and Vans are best for this spot, but a trailer is doable, just tougher if you need to turn around.

Report Check-In

Off the highway. Nice big gravel area with big turn a round loop. Very clean pit toilet. There was also a road going down to the river with a Area for parking overnight. Good accessibility for big rigs. Pretty quiet too.

Report Check-In

just beautiful, sandy beach great view...

Report Check-In

Great rec site on the lake, open and spacious feel. Beach to walk on, a memorial for an engineer from the highway construction crews and an old log cabin for sightseeing.

Report Check-In

absolutely beautiful spot

we got in here with a 38ft fifth wheel and only just fit, it was very tight. With a certain amount of people we couldnt have turned but we were lucky.
for big rigs i suggest parking at the top and having a walk down first or you could end up in a situation. Reversing back up the track wouldnt be easy if possible at all due to the narrow trees.

totally worth the effort though!

Report Check-In

A wonderful and pitoresque wild-place with nice views over the lake to mountains far away.
Pit toilettes not as clean as usual.

Report Check-In

Amazing! Worth the stop before Whitehorse. It got busy though!

Report Check-In

Loved this spot!!! Easy access, quiet, beautiful lake. Mosquitos loved it as well, so keep that in mind.

Report Check-In

Ok Recreation Site. Lake is there, not surrounded by mountains. 5 large spots and more.

First BC Rec Site where pit toilets aren’t the best. But they had toilet paper, also a first.

Pack it in, pack it out.
It’s probably not an iOverlander user, but leaving your garbage in the fire ring is not cool.

Report Check-In

Very large gravel rest area with picnic tables, garbage bins and clean pit toilet. Right next to the highway so traffic noise but calm during night. No no overnight parking sign.

Report Check-In

Lowing the lake, several sites with bench and large beds and grill are few places and there always seem to have people. Happiness of hungry mosquitoes. We made night here to whitehorse.
Bajando hacia el lago, varios sitios con mesas bancos y parrilla mucha sombra son pocos los lugares y siempre parece haber gente. Repleto de mosquitos hambrientos. Hicimos noche aquí camino a Whitehorse.

Report Check-In

We loved this spot! 5 spots, one without a picnic table, large enough to share if needed. 2 spots were open when we rolled up at 830 pm. Beautiful lakeside view and very quiet. Tons of mosquitos.

Report Check-In

one of the best places we've been on a 10.000+ km tour. beautiful, quiet (you sometimes hear the road though) and we were alone. mosquitoes around, but we were prepared :-D thanks for pointing it out!

Report Check-In

Very busy this time of year, get in early if you want a spot.

Report Check-In

beautiful little campground right on the lake. Throw getting here is narrow and one way so that was the only issue and there's a course lots of mosquitoes but besides that it's very pretty and pretty quiet.

Report Check-In

At first we missed the turnoff (traveling west) and turned into the Morley River Recreation Site, which is a Yukon Recreation Site. After reading the reviews on iOverlander, we realized we were at the wrong place. We traveled back east for 2 km and found the turn, which is on the left if you are traveling eastbound.

For reference, if you are driving west the turnoff is just before the blue sign indicating 2 km until Morley River Recreation Site.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night here parked right next to the lake. We woke up for the sunrise over the lake, which was worth getting up at 5 am for.

Report Check-In

Nice free campground! Pit toilets, next to the beautiful lake with beach. Fire rings and tables! Easy pike fishing!

Report Check-In

Nice little free campground. There were probably 5 other RVs there, but there was plenty of room. We camped right by the water. Pretty lake and super quiet. A few mosquitos, but a breeze off the lake kept them away. Local guy came and talked to us for a bit. He was friendly and told us all about the area. Woke in the middle of the night to aurora in the northern distance.

Report Check-In

very nice and quiet place. magnificent view, lots of swans on the lake. highly recommended!!

Report Check-In

Beautiful, quiet, free. Easy To spend few nights ;)

Report Check-In

that's now my second time here, and it's Everytime beautiful. you nearly can't hear any noise from the highway, so you have an quiet view to the lake. there is one part on the way that was very Sandy and maybe not good to drive with smaller car's, but you can drive around this small section.
the toilets are not in the best condition, but you have at least toilets.
there are no bins, so you have to pack in, what you pack out.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for the second time. Bad luck with the weather, but still an amazing spot.

Report Check-In

Crowded on discovery day weekend... but nice! Pit toilet but really stinky!!!

Report Check-In

Amazing. Best sunset I’ve seen in a long time. It was full when we arrived, but a very cute couple from Czech Republic let us share their spot. Thank you guys.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place by the lake with an amazing view. Quiet. Our children loved it. We didn't see any mosquitoes, perhaps we were lucky.

Report Check-In

Nice spot. Only 4 or 5 sites on the lake, and one additional (overflow) spot without a table but a flat spot to park just before you get to the lake.
Many mosquitos!

Report Check-In

beautiful but windy beach. a lot of space

Report Check-In

Great spot, we were able to fit our Big Rig (35ft motor home) and travel trailer 16ft on the same spot. The first campsite by the river. Excellent site, some mosquitos but not too bad.

Report Check-In

Absolutly great! And it is possible to drive to the tables........Maybe the guy bevor means the Yukon Rec. Site some km ahead? This is the BC Rec. Site.

Report Check-In
