Nice and quiet spots, great views. Not very flat. The bugs kept us indoor but it’s the price to pay for such a peaceful spot.
Report Check-InPlace is large enough for several Overland vehicles. Next to a active river and 1/2 mile away from Crane Prairie reservoir. Fire pit. 1 bar Verizon…
Report Check-InVery beautiful view of south sister, broken top, and mt bachelor. ATT service. Be prepared with bug repellent and citronella candles. I was about to take my dogs in the water for a swim, then I noticed algae coating the surface of the water, probably not safe for pets swimming
Report Check-InCamp at one of the most serene and beautiful lakes at the base of the Three Sisters mountains. Take a dip in the refreshing waters on this hot summer day while watching dragonflies and butterflies play. Later, witness the majesty of a bald eagle 🦅 hunt overhead, soaring then diving, to catch a meal to eat on a nearby fallen tree.
Surprisingly few mosquitos in the early morning and evening. Still, be prepared.
Two bars on Cricket wireless. Had service the whole time.
Pleasingly quiet with fewer than 5 cars driving by on the road above.
Two parties arrived on Thursday evening, but we didn't realize until we left the next morning; very private.
Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Crane sightings daily.
Very clean. Little bits here and there to be picked up.
Vault toilets near Browns Mountain boat launch.
LOTS of potholes for the last mile or so. Go slow and engage your core 😉
Amazing site that’s pretty easy to get to- a good amount of potholes but easily passable in any vehicle if you go slow. Big spot, could fit 3-4 vehicles/tents and it’s right on the water with a view of the sisters
Report Check-InPlenty of nice spots near the lake. With good cell service ATT and Verizon. Only stayed for one night on the way though, but wished I was able to stay for longer.
Report Check-InAs described above. Rough road with a couple of potholes that flipped my mattress. Good AT&T 4G/Lte 2 bars, enough to stream. But the breeze coming off the lake is most excellent. And the view is killer.
Report Check-InSpacious spots right next to the lake. 2 bars LTE with Verizon and AT&T.
