Camping no fim de Rodantero, um oásis ao meio ao lixo, sr Carlos muito atencioso e prestativo. No primeiro dia tivemos problemas com a rede eléctrica, no segundo conectamos na rede da casa principal e foi melhor. O local, segundo o sr Carlos é perigoso e com isso, não nos sentimos muito a vontade. No decorrer do tempo não sentimos nada disso. As praias do local são horríveis, nad parecido com o Caribe. Mas isso não importa, a amanhã vamos para El balneário Rodantero, a maior procura do Caribe Colombiano. Espero não me decepcionar.

There is a tap at the side of the parking lot. The station attendants where just using it for cleaning but they very kindly let us use their hose to fill up the tank.

free dump. dump on one side drinking water on the other. lots of space to turn around. no camping allowed here

amazing clay cliffs structures. they are badlands geology. 10km good quality fairly smooth gravel road to access. google maps will take you here. definitely worth the drive. we came here in the rain and the road was fine.

Just to be clear, it is illegal to sleep in your vehicle anywhere in Durango unless at a campground or park or private property like someone’s house/ driveway. Multiple business owners advised us it’s the City Ordinance. If you do it, you will be risking a fine from a police officer.

Day use only but has nice picnic table and barbecue facilities near the river.
A very nice bathroom with potable water fountains. Also there is a trail going to the campsite and over the river.

Free glass recycling 24/7, quite fun as you just slide it down a shoot and it breaks a level lower. They must gather it with a forklift.

As for other recyclables, they have paid recycling $5 per gallon. Uploading a pic.

I dropped my other recyclables in a big bin outside Subway or Famburger 😅

Popped by to see if they had a shower for us, not open at the moment (looked under construction). Also tried to get campground hosts attention by calling out, and saw them ignoring us. Not the best interaction (ie. none at all).

Water was off today. We filled up our plastic containers inside, though stopped at one because it was really slow!! Not picky at all, just saying!

They allow you to go just for showers ($2). They prefer in the morning, and wouldn’t allow you in closer to the pool closing time. Check their website for their hours. It is regularly updated and changing.

I paid for the pool not knowing this ($3) and had a shower. Shower was nice, hot, and clean. Wide clean shower curtains. About 8 showers! Nice lockers, funky bathing suit dryer. Roller skating and ping pong.

Used this dump and am grateful to Speedway!

Security came by at 10:20 pm, told us we had to leave. Seems like this place is no longer RV friendly.

Perfect location! Nice big grass area, more quiet then the second spot on Ioverlander. Cows came by. Nice to tour with a subboard. No shower anymore, but there was a water point. We saw fireflies at night. Locals use the road, so don't park in the middle.

Beautiful campspots overlooking a blue lake. Depending on the vehicle you can drive further down. With our Pajero 4x4 we reached this beautiful little terrace, after heavy rain the ground is more muddy and maybe not so easily accessible without 4x4… street leading there is fine for every vehicle.

Well reviewed online. Clean, spacious, clean machines, several tables, quiet. No big rig parking but a few places nearby if you want to park. Mid afternoon with a 17’ trailer I parked on the side. Several stores in the vicinity. Can use coin or card. Dryer goes 4 minutes for .25 cents. So either put in more coins to add time or swipe your card multiple times. Washing seems high but the amount of clothes i could put in the washer was twice that of most places I’ve used, so for me it’s about the same. I ran the dryer for 32 minutes and it got everything dry in one load including three sweatshirts.

this place is really nice. owners are really helpful and friendly. there were 4 lions coming through camp the day before I arrived and I saw hippos, giraffes, elephants etc from the decking area. need to book in advance if you want food cooked for you. they sell cold 🍺. they also offer game drives and walking safaris if booked in advance. very relaxing spot!

Grwat spot to stay a couple of nights. 25,000cop for two people and a van. The mall is close but it’s not the greatest (no day pass in the gym). Good access to the city and quiet enough during the night.

Very big parking lot for trucks and vans/motorhomes.

The store and the restrooms are open 24hs.
They even have warm food like burgers and empanadas. Also canisters for portable stoves.
Free wifi :)

Cons: I don’t mind sleeping near the road because traffic and passing cars don’t usually wake me up, but here the trucks were constantly coming in and out during the night and that was a bit of an issue.

Is still there and open, restaurant looks nice, but no dogs allowed neither on terrace outside.

Every simple option to sleep in this village was closed, when we saw a hotel sign at the Cosmos Restaurant. We asked around and behind the restaurant there was a hotel. We could park ouo Motorhome safe behind a gate (no hight limits), but after that not much space was left for other vehicles. We are not sure if the hotel is yet to be finished, it was kind of messy. Room was nice, spacious, clean, with attached private toilet. Showers are on the groundfloor. We paid 120 BOL/2p.

what for a nice place! After driving the last 12 Km of the adventure road, you reach a little paradise. the staff is very friendly and helpful. They showed as diffrent places so that we could chose.
They brought us free firewood and cleaned everything up. Nice hot shower and toilets. Free wifi.
205 pula per person on campsite. Ghey also accept US Dollar or cards.

Nice and quiet place to rest during the week ! Big rigs friendly. Some spaces down and some up. But I would definitely avoid weekends as it’s said :)

Beautiful but crowded for this type of place. While we barely saw any other people during 2 days in the park, there were 5 other cars camping here. You have a great view over the valley. Very little wind during the evening but very harsh winds during the nights, which caused us to pack up the rooftop tent in the middle of the night.

We slept in the parking lot and paid 2k per car. Initially the manager wanted 5k we we were able to negotiate. Quiet place, we felt safe here.

About 20 rigs parked here. Several groups, organized, quiet in the afternoon. Road has some big potholes, but you can drive around them. Did not stay overnight, but there was space.

Bon endroit sur la plage. Attention a la maree ! Aucun service. Reseau tel ok !
