Ecuador into Colombia with UK registered motorcycle - Ecuador migration and aduana took 5 min. Colombia migration about 2mins, they did not ask for any ‘Check Mig’ registration.

Super friendly and easy processing. Colombia Aduana has about a 2hr lunch (12-2pm) and they lock the office doors - register your Motorcycle details and upload your documents/photos (PDF) of VIN, plate, engine number etc on the DIAN website (see photos) before arriving or get the ladies in the adjacent cafe/store to do it for you ($5) in about 15mins. Everyone still in the same building. Very easy and quick crossing.

Aim to go via this spot if you are crossing the border into the US at Calexico West.
If you follow gps it will take you into Sentri lines, which could get you a big fine.

Buen café. El camarero bastante seco. Lindo lugar para tomar un descanso.

Nice hostel and perfect to spend the time till sailing of Puerto Lindo.
The rooms are clean and nice, the host Sylvia ist really kind.
Dogs are welcome, the five dogs of the hostel are kind to foreign dogs. Enjoyed some quiet days around here. Because of off season not really activities around.

Nice litte food corner with delicious bowls! Karla is really nice and you get a bowl with pine apple juice for 6US$.
You have to enter the port (Linton Bay Marina) - but the security guy only ask for your names and then you can enter for dinner.

If you are crossing into the US without Sentri then the line runs along the border wall from the east. I have added an approximate marker (or where we joined the line). You can’t cut in, so you may have to go around the block and join further east.
Following gps coordinates to cross over will likely take you to the Sentri line.. there is a last second turn off on the right but it is confusing. Taking this approach is more secure.

Beautiful site next to the lake and snow capped mountains. Several other RVs and vans but plenty of space. No amenities. Fairly good Verizon service, okay AT&T service. So your part to keep this BLM camping clean! Pack it in, pack it out.

We slept at this spot after not finding anything else. There is an abandoned house next to the school. Owner lives 50m upwards this house. Ask him before going there. No toilettes, nothing. Two small stores for water and basic supplies around the town. Also possible, camp in the school area if Director allows.

About 15 parking spaces close to the city center, right next to a quiet park. we stayed 3 nights. At 400 meters, there is the possibility to fill up with water.

environ 15 emplacements de stationnements à 2 pas du centre-ville, juste à côté d’un parc tranquille. nous sommes restes 3 nuits. A 400 mètres, il y a la possibilité de faire le plein d’eau.

Yep, still $8, and still a good place for cyclists because there are rooms on the ground floor. Decent WiFi, close to the middle of town.

Only $1 for a shower! Amazing. Very clean, nice water pressure.

Street parking along a small park that has a skate park, street vendors, electric outlets, water spout and trash cans. Free wifi as well but it's really inconsistent. It's a great location if you want to be in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Free. No hookups. 3 bars Telcel.

This place is magnificent. It‘s worth stopping and sleeping at the lake. Crystal clear water which you can drink and use for cooking (nevertheless would recommend with filter).

From the main street turn the first left at the big sign and ride up the bumpy road to the lake. 50m to the left is a nice spot with wind protection.

We got caught in this one. Got advised to do a u turn into ongoing traffic straight into the hands of a waiting cop.
He was nice and after some discussion, let us go.
Save yourself some hassle; approach the border from the east along the border wall.

Great spot. Lots of other vehicles and vans parked. Quiet. No disturbances. Great if proximity to town/ convenience/ cell service are priorities (or perhaps you are doing the Ale Trail in Beervana!)

Excelente lugar durante o dia e noite. Bem próximo ao Parque das Águas e em frente à água mineral Minalba. Só atravessar a rua tem a fonte com gás e a sem gás. Ponto de energia e torneira.

There are very clear “no overnight RV parking” signs in the parking lot. We didn’t ask inside. This place should be marked closed. Keeping it here is confusing for users.

Nice camping, good facilities, kind people!

During the week I had the place mostly to myself, through there was some motorcycle noise in the evening and the morning around 8. The price is 10 dollars a night. There are decent pit toilets, garbage and recycling bins, and one bar of Verizon and T-mobile. I was able to watch YouTube. First come, first served, and you can arrive at night after the manned kiosk closes and pay the next day on the way out. The road in is well paved to Edison Campground and only a bit hilly. The road to the campgrounds beyond that point to the other campgrounds is patchy paved and doable for most vehicles, I would think.

Access to this spot is rather easy even in 2-wheel drive, a few holes and little sand. The place is quiet and safe, it is at the end of a chic suburban area. Impossible to swim in the ocean (the waves are huge) close to todos santos, just amazing.

Road still closed for the season, couldn’t find a date when it would open

on the front of the building inside a door, fast water fill for personal jugs only. no big tank fill possible

Lots of OHV paths around here, but this was tucked in a little. Very few folks driving down this area, and was quite peaceful.

Unfortunately the place was closed today, otherwise it had been a good option.
