East bound but there is the same westbound. I drove around the back where are really nice gazebo type picnic tables. Road noise was minimal. Cell phone tower on location so great service. Free RV dump station. Worth a stop.

We spend 3 nights there with RTT without any problems. So many paths around, you can find quiet and nice place. Nice lake and little hike. We recommended, lovely place.

One of the few unfenced areas by the river - popular with fly fishers. The local shopkeeper recommend it and said it would be safe and no-one would bother us.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Granada and the Massya volcano. The guard/owner is there all day, the shower is hot and the wifi was good. Not sure about refilling the water tank, on the paper there it says 7$ which would be too much.

Most of the park is currently closed from hurricane damage but the campground is still open. Called day-of to see if they had any spots since the online reservation system wouldn't let me do day-of.

Just under $30 to stay one night, site had electric and water. Bath/shower house was decent.

We contacted Maged just before New Year's Eve and were very lucky to be able to attend one of his infamous desert camp party. An unforgettable experience for us adults but also for our children. The laundry service is top notch and their hospitality is legendary! A 5-star recommendation!

Go to this place for Land Cruiser service.

Replaced brakes front and back. Replaced leaking seals on transfer case. Oil changed, suspension lubed, all fluids checked. 5 tire rotation. Other minor “stuff.” Bought a couple of shackles.

I’m very particular about who works on my truck and I left here confident that they did a good job. Reasonable price and quality no bs work. I’d return.

Go to this place.

We met Juan at the Colombia overland meetup and got in touch with him again when we arrived in Bogota. The things that Juan can help you with are varied. He made some really nice canvas storage bags and cushions for our Troopy. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and delivered a quality product that exceeded our expectations.

Juan arranged for a sitter for Dixie while we went on a multi-day trip where dogs were not allowed.

We had a special circumstance with our TIP and Juan drove into Bogota to go to the Dian office with me. After working on this for no less than a FULL day we got our TIP extended. I can tell you that without question it would NOT have happened without his assistance. He’s a bulldog and didn’t give up.

Juan is fluent with both English and Spanish.

Just an all around great resource for anything that you might need in Colombia. I recommend him to you without reservation.

Showed up here the night before our ferry around 4pm and Samuel very kind. Still gave us a tour. We recommend it. We showed up before dark and he was still very excited to show us how chocolate is made! We bathed in the river and he gave us some yummy fruit to try as well

Secondary road that’s worth the detour.
We wanted to visit Estancia Olga Teresa coming from PA, but it was to expensive for us - 50$ pp - so we kept going anyway on the road and we saw A LOT of birds, including Condors ! The road goes along the water and landscapes are beautiful.

All as described. Some people are passing through here, as it is possible to access the beach here for free, however this didn’t disturb at all. To access the beach you have to search for the small open gap in the fence near a low palm tree.

I asked at customer service if they allow RV’s to park overnight. Was told yes for up to 24 hours. Stayed one night with no issues. There was another van and a couple of small RV’s as well.

loved our stay here! planed to stay two nights, but ended up staying a week. because of the vibe, the good people we met there and frans, anneke&taco who made our visit really nice. you are right at the beach and a little further away from the busy part of the village. so you have the beach part almost to yourself. you can enjoy a beautiful sunset in the morning while having coffee. lots of shade due to big palapas on the proberty and two umbrellas in front of it, at the beach. facilities very clean (get cleaned every day) and European standard (toilets with seats and plenty of paper ;)) outdoor kitchen with many plates, cups and pans. even if it got crowed we were able to cook without problems. shared sitting area where you can talk to people and make friends. bookshelf where you can get new reading material/exchange old ones. very quite and save at night. also place to charge your phone/laptop. you can rent:
different boat trips (we did fishing and snorkling which we shared with other travelers and loved it), bodyboards, snorkling gear (check out the reef!), umbrellas for the sun, tuktuk, tents and sleeping bag. beer and water for cheap. (20$)
it was a little crowed when we came, because of all the new years travel/visiters from Mexico City, but drizzeled out after the third day. but even when it was full we felt that we had enough privacy. the cozy space gives you the opportunity to meet new people and possible friends for life if you are open for it. (many sit in with overlanders and owners at night with beer). if you like more privacy and space this might be not the place for you. (not really space for big rigs)

with 250$/night (no hook up)for our camper van a good deal (since you get water, gas and etc. for cooking for free). also good place for dogs. during our visit there were at least five dogs. all but one little one very quite and got along with each other. just clean after them! be respectful with water usage and aware of others and you will a have a wonderful stay!

In the building of the former Ushuaia prison, which has 5 wings on 2 floors and almost 350 cells, there is now the largest museum in Ushuaia. Part is dedicated to the maritime museum. A wing deals with prison and local history. A prison wing remained in its original state. A wing shelters art. Another part deals with the natives who lived first on Tierra del Fuego. There is a souvenir shop and a snack area. The ticket is valid for 48 hours. Children under 12 free.

It’s a lovely place in the heart of Sucre. It’s a grassy yard with pretty flower trees, one cabaña and the workshop of Alberto who comes from time to time. Felicidad is in charge of the camping. They are both lovely sweet people and it’s a pleasure to stay at their place. Showers are hot and clean, it’s just few minutes walk to the main square. We were thinking of staying for 2 days but we ended up staying 4 because we liked Sucre a lot.
