several other camping spots along this road but this one is the closest to normal dispersed camping. the others were basically just big parking lots, this one has more of a network of parking spots and trees to hide behind for more privacy. a little rough getting through some spots with a Prius but worth the effort.

Another tip: they offer a hotspot option 4 Euro for 50GB but it can only be used as hotspot. So get an old phone activate hotspot for your other phone!

Now it's 1900 pesos per kilo. Good service!

Established campground in Pear Farm. Very pleasant surroundings in quiet area. Caroliene, the owner is very helpful.

up to 3 days, just by the creek. flat with 2 fire rings made of rocks. a little bit of garbage.

Great park. Side street good for longer rigs. Pretty quiet. Off from main streets. Foot traffic on weekends.

Open. Accessible for 2WD vehicles. Mostly level. Easily room for several vans or 1-2 larger vehicles. Short walk to Dome Rock.

Camping next to the lake. All facilities of the hotel in perfect shape. very friendly staff. Fast WiFi. a hot shower with strong pressure. excellent restaurant. they recommended tours to us that seemed overpriced (35$ for half day Uros). 30 US $ per night for 2 person+ van.

We had a very nice evening drive with Standwell. Easy communication by WhatsApp. Can really recommend Standwell. We payed 2285 zkw. If you do a morningdrive yourself you can use the entry tickets for the evening. You only have to pay a $20 extra for the evening entracefee. We were with 4 people.

Gas was cheaper here @ Loves than Buc-ee's but I still went to there , cause it's Buc-ee's... I ask the young lady at the counter about the water.. she said it's not potable.. so I didn't get any.. glad they have dump station... ok back on the road to TN!! always have to stop for The Beaver 🦫 & his nuggets.

Good quiet stay, free campground. Seems like locals come here to fish. A park ranger drove around the campsites around 8/8:30pm seemingly just to make sure everything was okay. Put toilets and trash, I couldn’t find any water but didn’t look too hard. 3-4 bars T-Mobile and ATT. There was a cute little self serve farm stand on the road in. Spent the morning picking up trash, remember to keep it clean so we can keep doing this! :)

Wild camp on the beach, good distance away from any settlements, a good few km down small relatively rough tracks but there are a few open spaces to park nicely right next to the beach.

May get fishermen coming to pull in their nets first thing in the morning but very quiet otherwise.

Very beautiful but windy. Signs posted saying that it's temporarily closed for construction. I stayed up on the hill and was not bothered

Spectacular setting beside a river behind/beside the church. We were the only ones there (early in the season) and enjoyed the environment and quiet.

As stated in previous posts. Fairly quiet place. More target practice than anything at least during the week. We parked awY from the main parking.
The only downside was the overwhelming amount of pallet nails and screws. Which I didn't notice till we were already set up in our spot. We were here for 3 days.

Because we crossed the border at Isebania a few days before (paid usd 50pp there). They said it was already used and not valid anymore. We had to buy a new visa. We paid for 1p. (again) TIP for 2 weeks was easy (free). We didn't get it at Isebania because our var is from South-Africa and without a carnet not possible to enter Kenya. Busia it was easy. The agent who checked the car was walking around the car and only said buy me some lunch, buy me some lunch, buy me some lunch.

They had no gasoline and no diesel today. Already long waiting queue

Nothing special good or bad about it. Worth the price. Paid TZS 25000 for one room, 2 people including breakfast.
Would recommend. You can easily walk into town from here, it's all quiet and not chaotic as other cities.

We arrived without booking and were a little concerned when we got to the gate as the place looked deserted. After hooting we saw someone coming down from the main house in the distance. We were so glad we didn't just turn around. What an amazing place and experience! All the sites had a private outside kitchen/cooking area, with huge, spotless ablutions just off from there. Hot water from a donkey boiler that worked like a bomb. Owners were fantastic and very friendly. Our daughter was up at there house playing with their daughter almost immediately. The walks into the desert and mountains were spectacular, and an early morning walk with Dawie, the owner, and his Kudu, was something quite special which we will never forget.
