Beautiful grassland dotted with small trees. Many spots to choose from. It had rained for 2 days prior to us getting here and the road in and several spots were slick. I needed to use 4wd on the gentle slop due to the soft soil.I don’t think there would be any issues for 2wd vehicles if it had not just rained.

Nice and quiet place, the weekend is full of customers and loud music, they let us park for $15 a night and we can use the showers, toilets, at night you can use the pool, the park is in front of a river of water clean and cold, you have the sea a few steps away, we spent some very calm and safe nights here, the manager was very kind, there is a restaurant with very good food, the manager told us that if we consume in the restaurant we would not pay for parking.

This road is currently closed (with a large tree stopping people from going any further), not sure why, maybe because it looked muddy. You can take the crossing 13km back north.

Beautiful place, inexpensive, right by a waterfall, basic facilities. No cell service, but you can buy WIFi code. The family that runs it is friendly and accommodating.

update 500pp for showers 2000pp to camp, not so cheap anymore...

right on this spot you get Entel phone reception! in the middle of Salto Grande parking. watch out for wind tho!

Beautiful and quiet place right on the banks of river Santa Maria. Only a few fishermen around, level and shady. Swimmung not recommended - crocodiles (said a fisherman)

Overnight is not allowed now. Good Wifi from the Library.

Small access to the beach, turn right before the restaurant Room for a few cars and campers, big rigs might have problems. Very quiet, nice village people.

Passamos 3 dias em frente a casa de guardas naval, tem água na frente pode pedir a eles, local bem seguro e muito bom para ficar, próximo à praia, tem ducha e banheiros na rua anterior custando 1 dólar.

500 pesos per rig. Quiet mid week in the winter, great birds and iguanas. No hookups. A water spigot and basic bathrooms.

Called and asked permission to stay in our camper van and was told it was okay and to park in the back. Stayed one night. No RV spots but we fit in a regular spot in the back.
Not totally level but it was fine. A little noisy but okay. Would stay again.

Quiet location, drinking water available, lots of space and good snacks. S10 diesel available.

we came on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy (luckily we didn't end up having to wait for a machine). pretty small spot. regular machines are $3, large machines are $5. $0.25/4 minutes on the dryer. parking around the back of the building. no more free coffee and snacks. haha

Spent two lovely nights here. There were 2 other vehicles camping both nights. No signage regarding it being closed. The gate down to the campground area is locked but the upper parking area has plenty of space. Level. Good hiking across the creek if you don’t mind fording the creek. No cell service. Sheriff rolled through around 4pm yesterday to use the toilet then left without saying anything to any of us camper vans/cars. Please be respectful of this wonderful land.

The process is simple though somewhat time consuming for foreign vehicles. In the end you need to receive an email with a code for the Tip. They let us use their WiFi for that. Nice people.

Busy laundry mat, but with lots of machines of various sizes. Parking lot is large, but probably limited to a class C.
Fast and efficient with at least two people working.
Showers are still $10 for 20 minutes.

Small restaurant on a hill over looking Maubisse just before you descend into town. Good local spot, $2 for chicken & rice. Other food available too plus drinks & coffee. Incredible views

place to pull off and rest for awhile, i hav stayed here overnight, sometimes throughout the day, its another spot to juggle

Checking out of Peru with our two motorcycles was really fast. Ten minutes for both bikes. Nice people

Desert road with lots of pull offs. I am only staying for one night. Doesn’t look like the type of place I want to stay for a while.

Awesome pull-off spot from the road with space for 2+ vehicles and tent setups. There is a stone fire pit, and the site overlooks the creek.
