Playa Santa Barbara
Beautiful little spot with a lot of space. It can accommodate big rigs. We did not try the toilets here. There’s no protection from the wind if you’re parked by the road, but it’s great in calm weather. Few cars come by so it’s generally quiet.

Got power/water site for $14 plus $4 reservation fee ($18.00 total) for two of us in our rooftop tent. Open sites with covered picnic table gravel pads. It was windy and pretty cold out with low at night being in the 30’s. Unfortunately, didn’t know when we booked that the campsite bathroom/shower facility was shut down. Looked like showers are outdoors also? Found note on door to “use the day use bathrooms” but didn’t direct where those were. Found them by the lake near the buildings center with flush toilets. Can get windy, but nice view of rock tower with Capitan Peak? in the background was breathtaking during sunrise. Not bad all-in-all if you’re prepared for weather. Was quiet at night and good signal for Verizon was able to do skype and make calls.

This parking lot has been cancelled and replaced by a new museum, not opened yet when we were here.
With a vehicle bigger than a simple car, the only parking lot available now to sleep in the park of Chapultepec is the E5, 900m after the Papalote Museo del Niño.
200 pesos by day (0am to 12pm)

Ferry from Punta Arenas until Porvenir is 7'500 per person and 48'000CPL for a camioneta (motorhome). I think it's a better option to book it online. Tabsa.cl

We ended up staying 2 nights here once we realized how not only beautiful the city was, but also how laidback, nice, and convenient this spot was. Saw fully loaded camper vans, rvs, and a dodge van while we were there. A little walk from downtown/historic River street but the area is so beautiful it’s well worth the walk…just have to plan around it. There’s also plenty of options (coffee, restaurant, convenience store, public restroom) just nearby. Dog friendly park and city. Everyone is very friendly. Also noticed a lot of stealth camping on the roads around the city, you just have to be mindful of sweeping signs.
I worked from the Sentient Bean coffee place literally across the street from the spot.
Overall, highly recommend!

Amazing place directly at the lake with Palapas and hammocks. Owners are very friendly. You can swim in the lake or walk 600 m to the Cenote in the sea. Paid 180 Mex$, is definitely worth! Toilet and cold shower is basic , but clean.

Noise all night from trucks pulling in and out, but nothing too loud. Bathrooms were ok, store was a bit bare.

We checked this place when driving from cajon del maipo in big traffic. It is very close to the main road and close to somebody's drive-in. It could work if necesarry, but we felt we could be intruding a bit and didn't know how long the traffic will take, so we went to another place.

There is a couple of similar places down the road from this one - we took one of those because it was more flat. Great for spending the night because there is not a lot of traffic, but not so much for breakfast outside as there is trash and stray dogs begging for food.

Delicious food in a lovely courtyard. Breakfast all day (waffles, eggs, pancakes) but also savory options (flaky croissant sandwiches). You can choose from lots of toppings to specialize your meal how you like it. Great coffee as well. ~60 Q for breakfast and a drink.

Great cheap campground in the off-season. $12 for pass holders, $24 without. Beautiful spot on the cliff above the ocean, can hear the waves but not too loud. Cell coverage very spotty.

Such a beautiful place, one of our best we had so far!
100Q per night (we had the wifi included in the price and worked quite ok)
One toilet and one cold shower on the lake
The road is quite steep and quite narrow. We made it with our truck camper but a bigger truck might not fit unfortunately
Was so nice to relax on the big couch outside on the lake house after a nice swim in the lake

The best campground we stayed at in Argentina. Wind protection, hot water 24/7, WiFi, walking distance to shops and a lovely family who runs this place. Attention to detail and even freshly cut roses in a vase in the always clean bathroom. What a great place.
