Just exit the main road to take the dirt one. Less than 100m away there is a first stop. Probably also others after. Plenty of trees for shade and firewood. Invisible from the main road (but you can hear it) and big rid friendly. Good 4G MTN connexion.

There is no immigration office here anymore. To get your real Visa with your E-Visa go inside of the main airport.

As the close by campground is closed this is a good alternative. We stayed over night, asked the police - they said “si, no problem” next to Imbiss and playground. At Imbiss they have free wifi

The preferred wild camping in this town at least during off-season. IOverlander map doesn’t show access point but google shows the road. Perfect lakeside views. No one around to bother. Bit of sand but multiple good hard packs to camp on.

Very impressive rock art in the desert.
It’s a large fenced area. You have to go to the information centre (open 8am -3pm). They open the gate. To explore the area you will need 1hour.
The hole area is very remote. We were the only tourists here.

The coordinates entered showed a Xwabaxwa camp in the center of Victoria Falls. However, the camp is in Botswana, near Khwai. I changed the coordinate accordingly. Since I'm in Zimbabwe, I can't determine the absolutely exact coordinates.

Such a beautiful spot! Peaceful and just 5 minutes off the Interstate. Security rolled through at 8am and didn’t stop or knock. No issues at all, friendly boaters, and a nature walk!

Found the place right off the road. Few fire rings and dead carcasses. It is hunting season and we saw a hunter and few pick-up passing by. There was snow near the forest. Very quiet at night. We couln’t get out of the van because of the hunters. Not a good season to come.

Nice and quiet place, nobody around, enough places to camp between the trees. One of the few places without trash. Stayed here for 2 days.

Small town laundromat with small parking lot. Decent prices and clean enough for a laundry place. Deli next door if you’re hungry.

2 camping areas in the refuge. This one is near Cattail Lake. South of Division Rd so no duck hunting. The other camp is farther North in the Duck hunting area. Have stayed in both but chose this one because it's hunting season. Flat area with space for bigger rigs, we are in a 24 ft View. Nice views and a pit toilet at both places. Last time we stayed it rained during the night and got stuck in the mud trying to leave. The ranger told us when we went to the office that the northern road has since been graveled because some one stuck there a couple of years ago. (that was us) Still, I wouldn't try it in the rain. Clay mud is super slick and sticky. pretty dry at this time of the year but saw saw some birds.

Absolutely amazing, fresh fish! Delicious meal, generous portion, friendly service, reasonably priced. Gotta be the best place in town. Stopped here for lunch after 3 weeks in the dry riverbeds and the lunch was perfect!

Incredible place to sleep inside of Barranquilla. Beautiful river Malecón, with bathrooms (from 8am-6pm) and nice restaurants around. Police was nearby and they didnt say anything. Felt safe. You can leave your car here and go for a walk.

Stayed the night here with no issues. No "no overnight" signs. Lots of trucks coming through and running their engines, if you have a smaller vehicle you could go further around the loop where it is quieter with single parks surrounded by grass and picnic tables. There are toilets, drinking fountains, vending machines, a dump station, and a WiFi hot-spot. Very friendly centre.

First car wash we found coming from Uyuni - Hito-Cajon - San Pedro de Atacama - Argentina with a pressure wash and a ramp to wash underneath the car. For the exterior, undercarriage and front half of of the inside of the car (the back is filled with my bed and luggage) it was 2000 pesos. The guys are super friendly and also helped me fix my broken side view mirror. After taking a beating through the Bolivian, Chilean and Argentine deserts, this was a much needed treat for the 2Runner.

Paying public parking lot near a community center. no toilet accessible. a basketball field.
500m away from a subway station (Warden), that goes straight to downtown.
4$ for the day. no parking btw 2 and 5am, but we spent 2 nights there and weren't bothered. many police patrols around. Very large and desert parking lot. Paid for 1 spot and were parked on 2.
