beautiful spot, by a boardwalk and bridge. there’s even an outlet on one of the light posts. was busy in morning. we stayed 9pm until 1pm. if you walk to the old train bridge and inland there’s another restroom with a free outdoor (private) shower!!

no cops but there was a shady character there around lunchtime tuesday. made us hightail out of there (first time we’ve felt that way in 2 years of vanlife. kept his hand hidden underneath his jacket with shifty eyes asking my bf weird questions.

Lovely place. Sheriff came by after dark. He said the place is officially closed after dark, but since there isn’t a sign posted, he doesn’t chase people away. I wouldn’t plan on staying more than one night here, and there’s a risk that they will change that policy.

Not much road noise until morning when the boaters arrived to hunt... then loud trucks and gun shots. I avoided parking right next to the boat launch to ensure the boaters with trailers could access the river. There was a big grassy section with plenty of room for multiple vehicles, which is where I ultimately parked. When I woke up at 6am the lot near the launch was completely full. Use caution when parking on the grass. It was very soft and my van got stuck in the mud. None of the boaters could or would help, but I did eventually get myself out. Stayed one night.

Excellent stay. Beautiful location on the Satilla River. Some road noise, but was fine. Great boardwalk leading to trail. One other boondocker.

I slept there in my car. It was very quiet and I wasn't disturbed. There are toilets and above all sheltered picnic tables. I slept there in my car. It was very quiet and I wasn't disturbed. There is even electricity and running water. (I don't know how drinkable it is.)

Nice and level, parked under the big light. Rainy, cool, breezy night. Police came by around 10pm, shone a bright spot on me for half a minute while i scrambled to get some clothes back on to talk to them - before i got out the door they took off. Saw them again with the bright spots around 2am but they left me alone. I was grateful. Bathroom cold water only. No shower. Not the cleanest.

Such a beautiful spot! Peaceful and just 5 minutes off the Interstate. Security rolled through at 8am and didn’t stop or knock. No issues at all, friendly boaters, and a nature walk!
