Paved flat parking lot is designed for 5th wheel campers to camper vans. Confirmed with Ranger that it is currently free for all campers. However, on 7/27/22 to 8/12/22 this spot will be closed to public. This is to allow US Army to use this location as staging point for crashed aircraft retrieval.

A gorgeous old home with a modern coffee shop with a brand new Italian coffee roasting machine. The coffee is amazing and it's a very affordable place to stay. 220 pesos for a bed in the dormitory with separate bathroom and 450 pesos for bed with private bathroom. These prices are half the cost of many of the other hotels in the village.

A small old home with a garden filled with animals and reptiles. It's an interesting stop worth the visit. 50 pesos entrance fee

We got a knock at at 23:45 pm by a park security guy who politely told us to leave. Area closes at 10 pm, no signs visible.
Though a nice place for a swim / some beach time during the day.

We went to see sunset at Casa Pablo and when we came back someone had broke the driver’s window of our van.

There are many comments here that this place is safe. The police was also surprised it happend there.

Put toilet, bear boxes & dumpsters. Most of the sites were reserved but found one available. $20/night. No t-mobile service

Beautiful spot in a very well run campsite. Lovely views of Survivor the hippo and the lake. Great birds as well. Richard and Margot were great hosts and we'll love them forever for the bream fillets.

Carmen and her family were great hosts, super fun to chat with and happy we stayed here. Wifi, water, power, toilets, and bucket shower. We paid 150L per night. The lot is secure and within walking distance of the downtown shops ect. Highly recommend as a great secure overnight if you're in this area. Max 3.5m entrance.

One of the coolest camp sites I’ve stayed at. At the base of a rocky mountain with lots of large boulders and scattered evergreen trees. There are 2 pit toilets but only one was open. One or two other campers, but the Yellowstone entrance was closed so it could be quite busy normally when open.

Simple quiet street parking, walking distance to pubs and restaurants. 2hrs pay parking from 0909-1800hrs except Sunday. No issues to stay overnight. Convenient for quick overnight stop. Next to river and park, really nice!

Very nice location directly at the Okavango River facing to Angola. Very friendly people. We strongly recommend this place espacially for a truck. Very good restaurant. Private and clean ablution block for each grassy and spacious site.

Crossed into Turkish side using a British passport by motorcycle no problems firstly you stop at the insurance desk, €20 for one month insurance quick check of passport and done

Viewpoint top the swabian alps near stuttgart

Basic camp directly at the Epupa Falls. Simple ablutions with hot showers and flush toilets. Water comes from Kunene River and is quite dirty. Relatively quiet, slow Edge MTC-Signal, 100 NAD pp. Nicer option is the community campsite at the viepoint at 120 NAD pp with a gorgeous view over the falls and the palm oasis.

We asked for camping here: camping is possible at the viewpoint for 120 NAD pp. They told us, there is water - but we did not check. Anyway you have to go here for the great view of the falls. We stayed down at the river in the Community Camp - but up here it is much nicer.

We stored our car here when going to Mafia Island as the Old Swedish Mission was abandoned.

There is a guy in Nyamisati called Shabaan. He seems to take most tourist on their way through under his wing and is incredibly helpful and arranged this for us.

He organized our car to be stored on the government grounds (10k a night and even on the night we slept there before leaving). The money you give to the security guard of the grounds, which Shabaan agreed on our behalf.

I cannot vouch for the security, as people walk through daily and the gate is broken, but everyone assured us that since its a government place it was safe and we left for 4 days and on return found everything perfect.

Give Shabaan a call to arrange whatever you need in the area. His English is very good, his ex wife runs a nice place to eat and he will even meet you at the ferry on departure and arrival to make sure youre ok.

He didnt ask for anything for his service and didnt indicate how much he’s like, so we gave him 30k for his enormous help.

Cheap Accomondation Option on Mafia Island.

Mgeni and Bunda, the Housekeeper made out stay wonderful. For approx. 30.000 a night for two, we got a huge breakfast each day and they helped us will an inquiries.

We rented a Motorbike through them while on the island (25k a day + fuel) which allowed us to go exploring the whole island and get to the other side to the Marine Park. Its also a 20 Minute walk from
Kilindoni Town with the Markets and various food places.

The rooms are simple, very clean and Bunda is very attentive. We had a room with En suite bathroom with cold shower, for which towels and slippers were provided. There is also a common kitchen to use if you chose to. Mr. Mgeni was easily reached by phone to help coordinate activities and transports. Its a short Tuktuk ride from the ferry, which he can also help arrange (10k night fare).

I can only highly recommend this place for all Budget travelers.

There are many other great disbursed sites in this general area, so exploring the FS roads will lead you to more private spots that still have easy access to the extensive trail network.
I went a little ways down Rock Creek Rd and stayed in a nice spot for a few nights, though it may be less private on the weekends.

Great camping spot for multiple vehicles. Beautiful view of the North Cascades during sunset. Had a few coyotes keep us company at night, but other than that it was quiet. In the morning there was a stiff westerly wind so we adjusted accordingly for breakfast. Discover pass required.

Nk’mip campground - Huge campground- small sites, lots of cars, site at lakeside with some trees. Showers. Site had water and 30A power, no firepit. Very stony ground - tough to put in tent pegs. CAD 74.16 (!).
