Namibia
Best location in town but still getting off the ground this community project is worth supporting. Whilst all of the other campsites are jam packed with fly in tourist types stretch out and relax amongst the palms here with other true overlanders. You can literally see your money building the facilities. Staff will show you were it’s safe to swim by the falls in the dry season (heaven!). We spent a wonderfully quiet night here. Clean ablutions, warm water, nice open air block.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful spot.
We were told the campsite is actually closed, because there is no water. We asked if we could stay anyways and they said it's no problem.
Paid 100N$ pppn.
Waouh the view from the campsite is amazing, we really enjoyed it. The place is clean and well done. When we were there, they had problem with water so no water, no toilet or shower, not a problem for us, so they did a discount. Normal price in 2024 is 160N p.p.p.n but we paid 100N p.p.p.n because no water.
Report Check-InWe stayed at this place two days. lovely staff, its a community and they are trying to build this place from scratch. it's nice because you can see the advancement over the years. We found it better than paying for those lodges where you have no privacy. Amazing view on the falls. really quiet.
Report Check-InWe asked for camping here: camping is possible at the viewpoint for 120 NAD pp. They told us, there is water - but we did not check. Anyway you have to go here for the great view of the falls. We stayed down at the river in the Community Camp - but up here it is much nicer.
Report Check-Inbest view over the falls.
friendly and talkative owner.
currently working to improve the camp.
enough shade for car parking/tent
When we arrived at Epupa we were told that there is no more camping at the view point. The new community camping is directly at the falls located. They ask 40,- pp to enjoy the sunset at the view point

Clean ablutions, warm water, nice open air block. 80pppn
This is now the Epupa community campsite (after the former community camp down at the river was turned into a private camp/lodge). Unique views of the falls, but not a lot of shade, so it is fine when you arrive later in the afternoon. Very friendly owner family. Shower and toilet, 120 N$ ppn.
Report Check-Ingreat view point. Nice en quiet. the staff are friendly. the price 120$N p/p.
