Great value for money. The rooms may be simple but they are very spacious with a super large and comfortable bed and proper mosquito net. The breakfast was delicious and the owner and housekeeper so nice!

We also rented a bike from them to explore the island and they helped us organise whale shark snorkelling for 40 USD (we were a group of 5).

We loved our stay here! Food needs to be pre-ordered in advance so we mostly walked into town to eat at BBQ Point.

The best cheap Accomondation Option on Mafia Island!! I stayed 8 days in a double room with bathroom for 20.000Tsh per night and then changed to a double room with shared bathroom for 15.000Tsh (both prices included the breakfast).

Rooms are big and clean, they provide you with towel, mosquito net, fan and you can use a shared kitchen. The location is great! 5 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to local places to have lunch for 1 dolar or less!! And a 20 min walk to town center.

You can book through Booking, or negociate a lower price directly with Ali (the owner) as I did.

About as good as it gets for budget place...Very friendly, great staff, excellent breakfast.. Other cooking options were a bit expensive but plenty of eating options close by .. Came for a few days, stayed 14!!

This is one of the best value places we've stayed at. Yes it's super basic but it was really clean with a decent bed and clean sheets and towels, strong fan in the room and new mosquito net. Bathroom was also clean with western toilet and basin, cold shower - soap and toilet paper provided. Ally and Bunda are both so lovely and helpful and Bunda makes very nice food! The price included a breakfast which was tea/coffee, fruit, boiled egg and pancakes - really good value!
Ally has amazing English and will help you with anything he can, very easy to communicate with over whatsapp. We booked through booking.com as seemed cheaper (approx $16usd a night for 2 people incl breakfast)
Not too far to walk into town (we paid 10k for a night tuk tuk off the ferry).
Would definitely recommend as a budget option.

Cheap Accomondation Option on Mafia Island.

Mgeni and Bunda, the Housekeeper made out stay wonderful. For approx. 30.000 a night for two, we got a huge breakfast each day and they helped us will an inquiries.

We rented a Motorbike through them while on the island (25k a day + fuel) which allowed us to go exploring the whole island and get to the other side to the Marine Park. Its also a 20 Minute walk from
Kilindoni Town with the Markets and various food places.

The rooms are simple, very clean and Bunda is very attentive. We had a room with En suite bathroom with cold shower, for which towels and slippers were provided. There is also a common kitchen to use if you chose to. Mr. Mgeni was easily reached by phone to help coordinate activities and transports. Its a short Tuktuk ride from the ferry, which he can also help arrange (10k night fare).

I can only highly recommend this place for all Budget travelers.
