Gate to the viewpoint closed for the season as of October 25, 2023. Can walk around it to access the site, but no camping.
Report Check-InLarge parking lot with a view of Denali and the range. The sites are very long but not wide enough for opposing slides to stay within the lines. We took an end spot and was able to open all slides using the extra space. There were 4 other campers. $20 fee paid at Kiosk with card.
Report Check-InThe price is now $20. It is pay by Credit card via a kiosk. The water hand pump is broken. We decide not to pay $20 for dry camping when there are plenty of free spots down the road.
Report Check-InLike the South View Point, this is a large parking lot with picnic tables, fire pits and pit toilets. No water source and weak cell signal on Google Fi. In june/2023 there are envelopes available, so camping is not free. This spot is better than the south view point because there is a great view from the parking lot / camping area and the spots for RVs are very long, can fit long trailers.
Report Check-InOpen, no envelopes at the self-registration, sign for fees are taped over. Free. Toilets are open.
Report Check-InThis was closed from 7/27/22-8/12/22 for the Alaska Army National Guard. As of right now it is open.
Report Check-InThis place is close !
Don't know why.
You can walk there by passing the barrier.
Paved flat parking lot is designed for 5th wheel campers to camper vans. Confirmed with Ranger that it is currently free for all campers. However, on 7/27/22 to 8/12/22 this spot will be closed to public. This is to allow US Army to use this location as staging point for crashed aircraft retrieval.
Report Check-InIt is a state campground that used to have a 15usd fee per night. It is free as per today. Incredible view on Denali mount and glacier . Paved. Pit toilets. Picnic tables and fire pits. Little noise from the highway.
