Stunning campspots along the road next to a small river. We drove up to number 28. Not sure how many more there are but each one was stunning.

Can't plug a hose but if you have a water bandit, will do the trick. You'll have to plug the other end with your hand though.

I stayed here. This place is brightly lit, was a wee bit noisy, but overall, it was a place to stay. There are no signs about parking overnight and it seems like about six or seven other cars also stayed. I think I was the only van.

We did the road with our 2WD Ford e350 with high clearence. The road IS though, lots of high rocks. If you dont have a high clearance you will bumb a lot. We went at 4:30pm up and had to pass just one vehicle. They fixed some parts of the road.

Beautiful spot directly at the water. You can see the US coast on the other site (and we only had US phone service as well). Pit toilets and a drinking water tank. Self check in - 15$ per night in the high season. Park operator came in the morning and checked the permits. Would definitely recommend.

Easy spot to pass the night but noisy with the highway beside and some trucks running all night. It’s fine for one quick night

Space for large and rooftop tents in car park, and a nice green garden campsite in the gardens. There is food and a bar-restaurant. Manager Jean +250 788 356 603 gave us a room key to shower warm. They locked the gate at night so safe. Beautiful bird song in morning. Recommend at a great price. We were family of 5 and paid 10usd to stay. Manager might change the price to per person as we were the first overlanding vehicle they hosted. Not sure about paying more in most African car parks, one always walks away feeling 10usd too much per person, but per car, good price.

Awesome spot, there were only a handful of other campers. The wind showed up at about 1am, it had to be a constant 30-40 mph, more with the gusts. Our van was rocking pretty bad and peoples were losing stuff over the cliff. We watched a number of sites scrambling and leave in middle of night. Make sure you check the weather and don’t leave anything outside.

Established camping site on a small lake beside Hwy 24. Two lakeside sites well separated from each other. Ours had a fishing dock and picnic table. How awesome is that!?

Specialised repair shop for motorbikes. Cristian is a real professional and very competent. Great welcome and service. Fast and efficient work. If you are in Guayaquil and you have a problem with your motorbike, this is the place to go. 100% recommended

I didn't stop at the location noted but kept driving, it was a bit too close to the road for me. Lots of places to camp here, large and small. Also lots of cow pies and the flies that go with them. Cattle have definitely made their mark here as have off roaders.
Not a lot of trash, I appreciate that. It's a long drive through potato and wheat fields on gravel roads to get here and to get out. I'd say 50/50 on washboard, some good, some bad. If you're in a vehicle with good shocks, not a big deal but if you're in an old bus it is. Not someplace I'll come back to, just too far a drive to get here.
BTW, I'd be wary of the stream water, it'll be heavily contaminated with livestock feces.

In the Principal Park of Confines. A small town in Santander. A place to spend the night and continue. On one side of the park is the police station, we talked to them and everything was fine. Very quiet and calm. Very friendly and helpful people. Delicious Sausages ( Chorizos) with Panela

Always been a favourite camping destination. Great setting and excellent game viewing. We’ve been here for 5 nights on this trip.
Unfortunately we returned back to camp this afternoon after a game drive to find our tent had been stolen!! A folded up dome tent in its cover - nothing else was taken, but that’s likely the items were not of interest. We will be reporting to the Khwai booking office and nearest police station. Very saddened that this would happen here.

The road is not that bad, if you have some clearance, I believe even 2wd if you got some experience. Theres now a sign of no camping, and no motorized vehicle. You can still walk to see the view though.

Spend one night here. Strange place, feels more like a city park/playground. Bathrooms are very old and kind of dirty. Wouldn’t come back.
Still 23 € for dry camping. Full t-mobile bar

We would recommend staying here! It is a very nice place for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. Beautiful surroundings in the area and no dangerous animals, perfect. SUP and canoes are available, for free. River is beautiful!

You can eat breakfast, lunch (12 dollar) and dinner (17 dollar) at the lodge. There's an honesty bar. Campsite is in the bush, hot shower, there's place to wash and do the dishes. You have to take your trash back with you.

Definitely hike to Mayense, beautiful view. And the paradise pools are a very nice place to cool off:-)

We found this street close to the city center, which is one of the few that doesn't charge for parking.
We arrived after 5pm on a Sunday and left at 8am on the next day.
A quiet street and no one bothered us.

Encontramos essa rua próxima ao centro da cidade, que é uma das poucas que não cobram estacionamento.

Big open field, there's a fire ring there. If you keep driving and go left we spotted another few fire rings and spots in between the trees but the mosquitoes were crazy there. We stayed at the open field, had a quiet night. A few people walking their dogs here.

The place is beautiful, but very busy. one person came close to us and started shooting, and it was pretty scary. This is a place people go to shoot, if you like me have problems with it, don't go! I didn't feel safe at night. in addition, many cars passed at dawn.

The place was hitten by a landslide. We parked infront, in a abandoned parking (no one charged us the 2 days we were there, maybe on weekends it is different). Super quiet night.
