Latest Check-Ins

Road is relatively steep and narrow in sections. Amazing view of the city. As others have said, lots of side by side traffic and target shooting. Bring some leveling blocks. Definitely not advisable to attempt reaching this spot in winter or spring. There is also no protection from the wind, so check the forecast if you're planning on tenting. I've attached a picture of the road.

Easily passable road to camp site. High clearance definitely preferred. Fairly busy road with off roading jeeps and traffic. The drive up had numerous shooting areas but nothing too alarming. Great cell service and view! We were the only campers.

As described, awesome few. A few cars were passing. But: there were A LOT OF WASPS, we had to leave, couldn’t get out of the van and enjoy the view.

The place is beautiful, but very busy. one person came close to us and started shooting, and it was pretty scary. This is a place people go to shoot, if you like me have problems with it, don't go! I didn't feel safe at night. in addition, many cars passed at dawn.

The road is super bumpy but doable in our Ford e250. The whole road is trashed, especially the campsite areas. Sad that people treat earth this way. Lots of bike activity but it was quiet after sunset. Good for a night but not the ideal camp spot

Report Check-In

This spot was super loud - cars blasting music and parking right next to our tent for an extended period of time before leaving, bikes revving by until midnight. No one was hostile or unkind, it just freaked me out and was a pretty poor night’s sleep. No one else was at our spot, and we left in the morning.

No complaints! Look for the side by sides coming down on your way up. Find your range hole and pew pew!

Pulled up and the original spot was full so we kept going up the road until we found a big parking lot with two fire rings so we set up shop, all through the night people were riding through on their dirt bikes & buggies, and at 12:30 am a big, truck full of kids rolled through, less than 5 feet from our vehicle and started shooting off a gun for at least 20 minutes, fine for a night but probably won’t be back here.

Incredibly beautiful spot. There was only one other car camper while we were here but there is plenty of room to spread out. Hard to believe such a beautiful spot is free! The road really isn’t that bad either.

Impassable road due to ice- spent hours getting unstuck and had to reverse down- what an adventure! Looks like the ATV folks are having fun though!

Report Check-In

Took a little while to drive up going slow on the switchbacks but this is a super gorgeous spot! The roads were bumpy but shouldn’t be a problem to get up with any car. Stunning view and mostly quiet spot. Occasional atv or truck coming through.

Bumpy road but completely doable in my Promaster. This is by far the best view I've had this month. The road is pretty busy at all hours, but no one bothered me. I was the only overnighter.
