New owner (who happens to be called Eddie!!) is super welcoming. He only took over 2 months ago and is already making changes to improve the property. It's already possible to camp there, either at a hook up on the main site or down by the bay. He also has private rooms and will soon start building stilt houses to rent out. Clean shower and toilets and large restaurant/ bar, which was closed when we were there but is often open. Pet friendly - he has a few lovely friendly dogs that loved our little dog!

We had to pay 300 Som each which I find too expensive. The water was way too hot to go in. I managed to go in until the knees for 5 seconds. I don't recommend it. The hot springs around Issyk Kul I have been to were cheaper and better.

Asked the folks in the Marina if I could get water and they said yes and no charge. Very friendly and a nice place to just hang out for the afternoon.

stayed 4 nights here. there is a kiosk where you do a self check-in. envelopes and slips are provided to pay for the nights you are here ($11/night). however- no one comes and checks on it at night. during the day (around 11am, 2am, 4pm) the park rangers came by to refill the envelopes and take any slips people dropped in the box. they did not ask anyone who was there during the day if we paid or not. and there’s no slip or tag you put in your windshield or anything, stating you paid for the night. so… it’s the honor system is all i’m saying.

this is nothing more than a place to sleep. a giant old parking lot (looks to be the old Park N Ride location). there are 2 pit toilets on site and trash cans available. barely any cell. 1 bar Verizon, 1 bar TMobile. no data access. only voice. i also had problems sending texts sometimes. neighbor had Visible Cell Service from the states and had zero service.

this is a clean quite spot though. really- it was some of the best sleep i’ve gotten on the road. everyone here is doing the same thing. just looking for a quite, safe place to get some zzzz’s before hitting Banff, Louise and the unforgettable trails in the area.

i would most definitely stay here again.
