DO NOT STAY HERE! possible trafficking, sketchy area. This is a michigan carpool lot, we found it from their website. They are usually pretty good spots to stay overnight, but when we pulled into this one a drunk woman walked up to our window immediately and started asking us to come into her house for tiki drinks, because her husband makes the best tiki drinks. we continued to decline, and she hung around asking us where we were from and such. we locked our doors turned the van on and left, and saw her (rather big) husband watching from the porch, and he continued to watch us as we pulled out, even after she was inside. Maybe she was drunk, but it seemed like much more. I would not recommend this lot to anyone traveling, especially if young or alone, there is another one 10 minutes west. It was a sketchy area, there is no direct address for these carpool lots to locate you, and she was there within seconds of us pulling up, we didn’t even have time to go into the back of our van before she arrived. Be careful, we did not feel safe even after she left.

Right by the river there are plenty of spots to pitch the tent or park. The area is very quiet and beautiful. There's a new bridge to cross the river. Good shadow and nice water.

Several campgrounds here in the recreation area. The ones I looked at $10 night online payment. Tower Hill is nicely spaced with lots of privacy. Got away from the mid 90s temps while traveling back home. Great Verizon and AT&T LTE for my work. I see trash barrels but yet it says pack it out. Plan accordingly 🌲

Nice campsite near to the sea. Windy, with hammocks all over the place. Friendly service.

Still $5. Long hose available. Parking lot was a bit of a zoo but there is room for any size rig.

This place is strictly for tents, its great but you should book in advance at www.natuurenbos.be/kamperen to secure a spot. signs at the spot said it was a maximum of 3 tents or 10 people. if you are coming with a car expect to walk at least 1/2 a mile without your vehicle. you can access with your vehicle maybe at certain times but all barriers were closed when we arrived. compost toilet great and the tent platforms are good too.

Very nice, quiet and clean place to stay. We sleep in our tent on the beach. With us, three vans and a tent, but enough place for everyone. We also swim in the river.

We stayed for one night, it was very freezing and windy. You pay the entry fee (5 Sol p.P.p.Day) at the entrance/park gate at the beginning of the street. Up here you pay nothing. Also not for the toilet if you say, that you are a camping guest. The ranger is very friendly.

This Trail is blocked with wood. But there is a other trail just on the left. Follow this trail always on the left up and you will get to the Laguna Artesoncocha.

Nice hike around the Laguna Paron. We need about 2,5 hours oneway. The Laguna Artesoncocha itself is nothing spectacular.

Very easy to find, and get to. Any vehicle should be able to make it to these spots. Only 2 spots available but you are right on Lake Superior. A lot of other people walking up and down the beach and you are fairly close to the road but nothing annoying or loud.

Small pullout along Thompson canyon road. Access road is a bit washed. High clearance is preferable.
Temperature is a bit lower at night compared to Thompson spring. Lots of shade. Fire pit. Small creek. No telephone signal.

Multiple pull-offs near the various trailheads along this road. Easily space for 10+ cars. No signage about no overnight or no camping. We ended up seeing the same German couple from a few days prior near 100 mile house!

We staid for one night after visiting Horse shoe Bend and on our way to Zion. $30/night for electricity, place for trash, wifi, and next to an ICE dispensary (gold in the summer heat). It was a great stay. It was really HOT, and was so thankful for a place to plug in. It was quiet, easy access to roads, stores (Walmart), coffee shops. Would return in the summer .

The park has a sign that says "dawn till dusk" and another that says "no loitering after dark" so it definitely seems like a park-at-your-own-risk situation.
