We stayed one night here after arriving on the last ferry to Nanaimo and one night before catching an early ferry home. The area was quiet with only a few vehicles driving by and people walking their dogs early in the morning. Cell reception was not so good.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great place to stay for the night after the late ferry in or early ferry out. Very quiet only 3-4 cars passed after 9pm
Report Check-InYou can park on the side of the road. Quiet except a few cars. Internet connection wasn’t that good.
Report Check-InStayed here several nights, very quiet, lots of hikers with dogs during the day, but nobody has any problems with campers. Clear skies, perfect for Starlink.
Report Check-InA few places to park along the road, wide enough for our Sprinter. Not too busy as we even got to shower outside.
Report Check-InQuiet road at night. Relatively flat, a few other campers. Gets busy in the morning but not too bad.
Report Check-InAs described. Roadside pullout next adjacent to multiple trailheads. Big enough for a couple of full-size rigs. Good shade in the afternoon and good exposure to the north for those with Starlink. No issues, but quite a bit of traffic, especially during the 4-6 pm time frame. Less after. Lower than expected amount of trash, but still some. Very quiet other than the cars going by. Close to ferry terminal.
Report Check-InLooooot's of pulloff's along this road and Nanaimo Lakes road. Expect the usual mild noise and early morning hikers but good for a night.
Report Check-InFine spot to park for a night. Felt a little weird as it’s literally just the gravel shoulder of a road, but no one bothered us and there were a few others here. Right by some cool hiking and MTB trails.
Report Check-Inperfect t to pull off to sleep after late ferry.
seen lots of campers and and roof top guys.
some garbge but very quite on a Sunday morning
I felt that spot was too close frome the road and the city. We continued further down the road until we saw a gravel road on the right. Then we got a little firther and slept just before the two gates at a Y crossroad.
Report Check-InOkay spot for one right right off the road. Wouldn’t stay much longer than that.
Report Check-InMultiple pull-offs near the various trailheads along this road. Easily space for 10+ cars. No signage about no overnight or no camping. We ended up seeing the same German couple from a few days prior near 100 mile house!
Report Check-InPretty quiet place to stay when coming off the ferry late at night! Busy in the morning with dog walkers but still plants of parking available
