Description
Lovely quiet campground at the top of Casper mountain. Typically about 10-15 degrees cooler up here than at the base of the mountain, so a great place to beat the summer heat. Due to site sizes and switchback road required to get here, it's probably only suitable for vehicles 30ft or less. The mountain road is steep but paved, 2WD is fine. $10/night, reservations should be made online. Super fast Verizon service. Pit toilets available. Very close in proximity to Crimson Dawn, a unique local park featuring shrines to various witches.

Several campgrounds here in the recreation area. The ones I looked at $10 night online payment. Tower Hill is nicely spaced with lots of privacy. Got away from the mid 90s temps while traveling back home. Great Verizon and AT&T LTE for my work. I see trash barrels but yet it says pack it out. Plan accordingly 🌲
