so difficulty yo find a spot in Santa Barbara, WE sent Ro the east. WE stopped on a little pull off by the road. very residential and road noisy. but quiet night. no issue. I cannot promise you not be disturb by shérif or cops...

Large parking area with a pit toilet! I found this spot because the other places marked on this road were already taken so I kept driving to see what I would find. I saw some signs leading to a trail head and found a great spot to camp. Looks like it would be pretty muddy if wet but if it’s dry any type of vehicle could make it up here. There were some sharp turns but the dirt road is in pretty good shape so it wasn’t bad at all. The pit toilet was full of toilet paper. I would definitely stay here again.

Opening hours of border are 7am-10pm every day. Last crossing possible before 9pm.

Possible stop for the night. Some trucks passed during night. We used it as it was already late and the altitude fitted to our acclimating plan. Not leveled.

excellent place to stay, we spent two days

This spot is absolutely beautiful. There’s a few fire pits. The only issue is it’s quite close to some cabins across the river that had noisy party people until later into the evening, and you can hear the trains blowing their whistles every now and then.

Stayed two nights and this park exceeded my expectations. I found the manager to be very accommodating and the park to be clean and organized. Full hook up sites are now $50 and the cafe is seasonal, not expected to open until fall. Some sites shaded by trees. Water and dump station available for a fee if not staying. Note: the water is from a well and very hard/mineralized.

Very busy place, but room for everyone. We had a nice site to ourselves, overlooking the lake.

Preguntamos si se podía quedar y nos dijeron que si pero que pagaba 25 reales el vehículo. No permiten mascotas. por loo que nos fuimos. Las cascadas no valen la pena visitar y pagar entrada (30 reales por persona), en temporada baja porque no se puede bañar.

Buen lugar para dormir, tranquilo, son embargo solo cargamos combustible. Lo recomendamos de todas formas.

Buen lugar para descansar, amplio, gente amable. Hay un supermercado cerca entrando por la calle principal, pasamos 1 noche. Lo recomendamos

Water apparently turned off for the season. My best guess is though turn it on May 1st because that seems to be when signage says the gorge will be open but that's just a guess.

Caja Cusco. Still here, there a lot of banks in town. But the only one with Atm. The first Atm after Abancay. They charge you 18 soles with a European maestro card.

Nice spot! It’s definitely worth $7 a night. There’s shade and greenery. The river gorge is nearby, it’s a beautiful view. There is a faucet for water and clean bathrooms.

It's called Hatra. Tickets are now available here. I rolled up to the gate, and the guard called a guy who came by car and sold me the ticket for 25'000 Dinar.
At the 3 checkpoints after turning off from the highway, I explained with Google translate that tickets are available at the site. Checkpoints are rather serious, but friendly.

Great new little hotel with secure parking next door behind locked gate. Excellent service and nice breakfast. Very clean rooms. Manager has good English and if he is not there the reception will call him. Excellent spot for Motos or overland vehicles.

Shower, one for man, one for woman. No curtain on man side but it is private. 10$ Also there is a liquid soap with abrasive in it, usually for mechanic. The air pump is free.
Douche, une pour homme et une pour femme. Pas de rideau du côté homme mais c’est privé. 10$ Il y a aussi un savon liquide abrasif utilisé habituellement par les mécaniciens aux mains graissées… La pompe à air est gratuite!

Overall nice for the price. At the Cascade Locks marina. $36 including reservation in the off season (before May). Plumbed bathrooms, trash, and water and electrical hookups.

The view isn't as good as I expected but it's an easy wall to Thunder Island. I included a picture.

The train runs all night, but if your rig has proper insulation it shouldn't be loud. Use some white noise or earplugs if you are sensitive.

Next door is Best Western hotel for $170 a night, to put into perspective.

The PCT/Dry Creek Falls trailhead is just a short walk from here.

Lots of space and very quiet. Very accessible.

I didn’t see the water spigot anywhere so I asked and they told me it was broken.

Cute small laundromat, no change, Visitor center closed Sunday.
