Beautiful spot, a small gravel lot overlooking a broad canyon in the plateau, accessible via a short gravel road from the Old Oregon Trail road. The road in is potholed, but okay for 2wd; just take it slowly. Slight incline through much of the lot; the best level spot seems to be along the back (west) side. Best for smaller rigs; over 26' might be pushing it a bit, and I wouldn't attempt it here with a trailer, but it was a perfect fit for our 23' van. Room for maybe two-ish rigs without interfering too much with parking for day use visitors. Gorgeous sunrises, and a blocked-off road provides a walking path to a panoramic view of the surrounding valleys. No facilities, but good Verizon signal. You can hear the freeway, but it sounds distant. To get here, best to take exit 234 which is SE of the location. (Exit 228 from eastbound requires you to go through a one-lane tunnel with 12'6" clearance under the freeway.) Note: this is located on Umatilla Nation land; please be respectful and leave no trace.

We wouldn't recommend visiting Popa Falls. They have built some kind of beach resort around the rapids, and you're not allowed to walk around by yourself. An employee shadowed us the entire time. Not worth the price of entry.

Hotel situated at the river in a beautiful garden with pool, bar and restaurant. This place is frequently used by visitors to the Albert Schweitzer hospital and CERMEL research center.
Good rooms with hot and cold shower, air condition and TV.
Internet connection works well only around the reception.

kind and professional gentleman. 200 TL to wash 10 KG and dry. It returns it to you folded, dried and organized in bags. Parking is easy in the surrounding area where there are restaurants and supermarkets.

very nice place whit very friendly people, I spend 1 night here 200 rands, all very clear, the problem is there are lot of mosquitoes, you need a net for sleep or a big bottle of repellent, no hot shower but the weather is very hot.

Beautiful park. Clean bathrooms. Camp host Tim was very helpful. A little noisy being the sits are a little close. Once 10 PM hit, it was quiet all evening.

A solid gravel road leads to an open levelled area on stones in the jungle near the Madre de Dios river. There was a small building and a car parked but nobody seemed to be there.

Very basic, 2 rooms with 7 beds, excellent dinner (nicely priced at 20 mil in comparison to the fancy, overpriced Eco-places around) and breakfast (10 mil). Perfect for a night as a base for Cerro Kennedy. Don't expect luxury.

Place is as described, except there were no portable toilets when we came. Very quiet night and nice wake-up with the birds chirping :)

Great gas station! We can also recommend to fill up your water tank here, perfect pressure and potable. And the shower seems very new and clean. Workers here were very friendly, and we could use the water and shower for free. We did get gas here though.

We spent the night on the dirt road inbetween the upper lot of the hotel and the lower lot in front of the balnearios. Some people going in and out but not as much as well expected. We had a wonderful night and felt secure.

Simple little RV park. 56 sites, most pull through. Clean bathroom, showers, laundry, air. No dump. We stayed 1 night in class B and paid $15 for no hookups. Would could back.

as stated previously, mostly parking lot, nice tent sites with picnic table n fire ring. RV's are designated to park along the curb roadside. I parked along the tent curb of should have blocked in a class c parked at the end of the lot. there's water available n a vault toilet. signs posted before being here to pack or your trash. no cell service since before Doc's Market/gas. good spot for an overnight close to the dwellings.

Stayed here before crossing the Trampolina. What a spot! Super hospitable family and large parking with huge communal areas. It’s much bigger and nicer than the photos make it look.

Absolutely no pressure to buy anything, but we had a few juices and beers since we already ate. Clean bathrooms with a nice cold shower. Right by the river. This town would be fun to explore if you have the time, and this spot is an amazing base. All around super comfy.

A viewpoint in between Caleta Pan de Azúcar and the main viewpoint. To the left hand side of the picnic tables, there's a shelter up the hill, where you can see the better view

Lots of space, good cell reception. Close to highway so can still hear some cars during busy hours but very quiet at night. Bunch of cows roaming around at night too, had a few scare me.

The clearing farther back at the posted coordinates is not so level, so I set up my tent closer to the road. I was mostly not visible from the road, and there was very little traffic in the evening.

I was able to find enough wood to make a fire.

Weak Claro signal if you stand in just the right place.

Gratuit
